I often buy more artisan chocolate and appreciate it carries a higher cost. That said however I was completely underwhelmed by this chocolate and found it really overpriced when delivery was factored in for such a meager quantity. Such a shame as it was a gift

Sorry to hear this, but as you say, it was a gift so we can only presume that you didn't try any so couldn't comment on the flavour or quality of the chocolate. What a shame you didn't treat yourself to some of our hand-crafted chocolates so you could try them yourself.

Most had melted when I received So didn’t get full experience sadly

Oh no! If only you'd let us know, we could have taken this up with Royal Mail as that is definitely not how we want our beautiful hand-crafted chocolates to arrive. If you don't tell us when things go wrong we can't put things right.

Overpriced for very average chocolate. I'm sorry to say I was caught in your net via Instagram advertising and while I love your cause and the small business feel, the efforts towards sustainability and good causes, I was disappointed by the product. Egg was very small and flavours were average, all for what I would consider a high price point

Sorry to hear that you thought the flavours of our chocolate were average, but that's purely a question of personal taste. We would say, however, that the eggs were the same size as we showed on the website - size and weight of all the eggs are provided, along with the box height, so there shouldn't have been any surprises.

Disappointed really, the egg arrived on time, no issues there but on Easter Sunday when my partner opened the box, it was smashed into about 10 pieces, anti climax, for an expensive Easter egg!

We're sorry that you received a broken egg. This is clearly disappointing, and certainly not how we want our Easter eggs to arrive. Please be assured that we don't want any of our customers to be unhappy, and we'd never knowingly send out damaged items. We have used our plastic-free packaging format now for a couple of years with only a tiny number of issues which are more to do with how the eggs are handled in transit rather than the fault of the packaging. We are disappointed that you didn't let us know about this before posting your review.

This is an overpriced easter egg and whilst it tastes ok, I really should have just brought a better quality one from the Hotel Chocolate. You live and learn!

Sorry that our chocolate isn't for you and you think we're overpriced, but you can't compare machine manufactured chocolate packed in plastic with hand-crafted chocolate made from natural ingredients packed in recyclable planet-friendly packaging. That's like comparing canned soup with homemade soup made from home-grown veg. Maybe think more about the planet and less about the pocket.

Really dissatisfied, paid nearly £15 for an Easter egg only to open it and find it not much bigger than an orange. Chocolate is high quality but honestly tastes the same as nestle chocolate.

Sorry to hear that you're dissatisfied. Our website clearly displays the size & weight of all our Easter eggs, so we're sorry if you missed that information. It's not all about size though, you need to remember that Chococo chocolate is handcrafted from single-origin palm oil-free Raisetrade chocolate, and after moulding and hand-sealing, each individual egg is hand-decorated and hand-packed in recyclable planet-friendly packaging. No machines, no robots, no plastic and no slavery.

I was disappointed upon receiving my egg as I was lead to believe that I was getting the one with the turtles inside.

We're a bit confused about this review as you placed an order online for a Giant Dark Chocolate Agave Honeycombe Easter Egg, and that was what you received. We're not sure why you would have thought it had turtles inside as the images, descriptions and names of the eggs online are very different. Once you received your order confirmation and realised you'd ordered the wrong thing, all you needed to do was contact us and we could have changed your order.

Chocolates are lovely, Royal Mail insistance that someone can acceot the parcel makes convenient delivery hopeless

Thanks for loving our chocolates, but sorry to hear you had problems with your delivery. We use Royal Mail tracked delivery service so they generally require a signature, but will leave parcels in a designated pre-determined safeplace or with neighbours too. We wouldn't want our lovely chocolate to just be abandoned, but know sometimes Royal Mail don't get it right, so sorry for your frustration.

I had the 16 chocolate Mother's Day box and was very disappointed at the variety. I had 3 of one flavour and 2 of all of the others bar one. I regularly buy Chococo chocolate for myself and family members and have done for several years as it is normally very good. Very disappointed with this "selection".

So sorry you were disappointed with the Mother's Day selection. The boxes of 16 were made up to a planned template which included six duplicated flavours, but if we were short of any at the time of making up the boxes, some would have been substituted for other chocolates available at the time. At busy periods like Mother's Day we do our very best to keep up with demand, but we are only able to work with the chocolates we have at the time when we receive last minute orders.

I was very disappointed as I paid extra for this to be delivered on 14th Feb as indicated on your website and it arrived on the 12th. The package was left outside in the pooring rain and the box and wrapping were all very wet.

I am sorry that your parcel arrived early and a real shame that the local post person left it outside. We sent all valentines orders out on the Friday as we cannot count a Saturday as a confirmed delivery date, but Royal Mail were able to delivery to you on the Saturday, this is why you had a early delivery, we would of excepted it to arrive on the Monday.

I ordered a chocolate lobster and chocolate heart for my Husband for Valentine's Day. Unfortunately when I opened the package the heart was broken in several places spoiling the hand written message that was on it. This is the second order I have had from Chococo that has been delivered either broken or melted and spoiled. For this reason I wouldn't order again. The items were just placed in a cardboard box and wrapped in other bits of paper wrapping. I am aware this is the environmentally friendly option but it no way protects fragile items like chocolate from being damaged in the post.

Oh no, we're really sorry that your heart arrived broken - nobody wants a broken heart, especially for Valentine's Day. If only you had let us know as soon as the item arrived, we could have replaced it in time for Valentine's Day. Whilst we take every care to pack everything so it does not damage in transit, sometimes we can't help how it is transported with Royal Mail. We care passionately about chocolate, our customers and the planet, so we will always do our best for all of them, but we can only put things right if we're told when things go wrong.

I bought these for myself as a treat (!) as I'd seen them recommended in The Times. I paid £25 for the box of 25 chocolates and my biggest issue is the price. I thought the chocolates were all nice - not delicious but nice. If I'd paid £10, I'd have felt it was about right for the quality/taste of the product. For £25 I expected something excellent and, although I wish I could say different, I was (very) underwhelmed.

Thank you for your feedback and sorry that you found our chocolates disappointing. At the end of the day, it is all down to personal taste, and even Chococo can't win everyone over.

Pleased with product which arrived in good time and of excellent quality. BUT I am very unhappy that my e-mail address has been forwarded to a review site without my consent and potentially in contravention of the gdpr.

I was so sad with the feedback regarding the box of chocolates I recently purchased for a friend of mines birthday. I asked what they thought of them and they said the dark chocolate was so strong it wiped out almost all of the flavours in the box. They cost me a lot of money with postage and I dare say I wont be purchasing from you again. Such a let down, yet they looked very nice. I cant afford to make that mistake again...sorry!!

Fairly disappointing to be sent a booklet showing what you could have received in your selection but didn’t. The packaging is rubbish. It’s near on impossible to navigate dislodging a chocolate from its deep enclosure without the assistance of a toothpick or knife or brute force. Once retrieved the chocolates are of another level. I’m not sure if that’s in a good way though. Mostly dark and bitter. These are serious chocolates. They mean business. Not the kind you’d want more than two of too quickly and that’s the so close but no cigar bit.

Oh dear! We do explain on our menus that it lists all our current flavours, so shows more than we can fit in your box. Winter 2021 had 44 different chocolates - hard to fit into a box of 24! Flavours are rotated regularly so chocolates are always fresh and so boxes can continually be exciting and different, even if you have them regularly. We also suggest on our menu that if you have any difficulty extracting our chocolates, you can lift out the cardboard grid dividers. Our packaging is plastic-free, planet-friendly and recyclable; we'd rather it wasn't rubbish. And we don't mind our chocolates being called serious, although our many Chococo fans might consider them more fun, creative and adventurous. But it is all a matter of taste at the end of the day.

The chocolate covered Turkish delight was lovely, and a great size but only 6 pieces? The box of chocolates was truly revolting (sorry), three different people tried them and after the third choc each was as bad as the first, they were thrown away. The flavours were unfortunately awful.

We're really pleased you enjoyed our chocolate covered Turkish delight, but it's a shame that the non-alcoholic festive chocolates didn't go down so well. We guess it's all a matter of taste and you can't win them all.

Oh no! We're so sorry to hear about the mix-up. It's such a shame you didn't contact us to let us know and we could have rectified it. We're sorry for any disappointment, but we can only correct mistakes if you let us know about them.

It did not state the use by date at the time of ordering. I had no idea they needed to be used so quickly by which time the birthday present had time passed. Very disappointing

Sorry that this was not clear to you when ordering, we always have a use-by date on an image of the picture, with the date that current chocolates will have to be had by. Apologies if this was missed.

VERY Disappointed with milk chocolate box 2 of each and mostly nuts shame you can't ask for chocolates without nuts

Very sorry to hear you were disappointed with your fresh selection box, but as Katharine explained when you emailed, we do offer a Fresh No Nuts Selection Box, so it's a shame you didn't spot it when you placed your order.
