I’m still waiting for replies to my emails regarding the delivery of a piece of furniture I have ordered and paid for. I regret dealing with this company and parting with my money and I certainly wouldn’t recommend them to anyone

No sign of my order turning up and no reply to my queries. Phone is never answered, Now wondering if this is a bona fide company. Chiltern Oak Furniture took all the money up front for this order. Probably not my wisest purchase.

Ordered on Dec 1. Haven’t had any information about delivery. Contacted customer service, haven’t had a reply. Starting to wonder if this is a scam website.

Do not touch this company or trust them with your money. Very keen to sell you their products, tell you it will be a maximum 3 week delivery and take full payment. Only to be told a pack of lies and promises. Don’t deliver the goods. Don’t answer the phone. Don’t reply to your emails. SCAM of a company. Now closed down to re-brand as a new company. And I bet the new company will be run by the same people, who tell you they are nothing to do with Chiltern Oak and that they cannot fulfil any previous orders or complaints. Like a number of people on here, now left without any furniture and out of pocket by a large sum of money. I hope they sleep well at night !!!

Shambles of a company. Horrendous customer service. Spent near on £3000, paid in full, in July. Furniture to be delivered beginning of October. Still waiting, lies after lies. Constantly chasing for updates, too many issues to even list!. Now awaiting a call back for refund, the person I spoke to (finally) is unable to authorised. Apparently this company is rebranding so will continue to be the same ****show. Check their facebook page for other upser customers. AVOID

Worst customer care I’ve ever experienced At the time of ordering I was told my items would be delivered in 2 weeks. I first chased my order after 3 weeks, to be told they were in stock and would be delivered ‘next week.’ After patiently chasing over a period of 8weeks, by phone (and being unable to leave a voice message due to a full mail box! ) and emailing a total of 6 times in all. Each time the excuses given were different. Your order items are : - with the dispatch team - To be delivered next week - out of stock - Low in stock - Slightly delayed - ready to be delivered I was beginning to think my order would not be fulfilled and judging by the recent reviews of Chiltern Oak I was not the only customer receiving this dreadful service. Finally after 9 weeks of waiting and constant chasing my goods were delivered. I cannot fault the delivery driver, who patiently waited while I checked my goods - they were correct and well packed. Unfortunately the after sales service and despatch team organisation is appalling and I will not be ordering from Chiltern Oak Furniture again.

Total rubbish service. Can’t tell you about the product as I STILL HAVENT RECEIVED. Bloody useless. You have my money (approaching 1 month now) and I have no delivery. No phone no to speak to anyone. Just an email address that no one responds to. Just awful awful service. You should be ashamed. DO NOT BY FROM THIS SCAMMING BUSINESS.

Appalling customer service. Impossible to get hold of anyone by phone. Failed to fulfil their service and also caused significant damage to my walls. DO NOT ORDER FROM HERE!!!!!!

Dreadful company, we have been trying to buy an item from them since august and have paid in full. We eventually cancelled in October and asked for our money but no response. I suspect that the parent company is in liquidation but we will try the company's register and county court.

Purchased the Falmouth oak 2.0m table which was delivered on 8/1/24, on 15/5/24 we noticed the top paint peeling to reveal cheap wood underneath. This is not an oak table. Despite reaching out through Facebook, email, phone and the enquiry from I have been unable to get a reply. Emails bounce back, the calls are ok hold for around 20 minutes then cut off and other methods of contact have been ignored. I paid a considerable amount of money for this table that isn’t even fit for Purpose! I will be reporting this to trading standards and all other relevant parties as this is ill described on your website, deceptive and not fit for use under the sales of goods and services act. I would like to resolve this matter if someone would kindly get in touch. As mentioned I have reached out and sent photos on all above methods so I’m sure you can find one method to contact me. For anyone thinking of purchasing this…. Don’t!

After having 3 x TV units all delivered and returned due to damaged items I eventually just gave up............the quality of the painted wood units is just awful. I even tried a different colour for a different range and manufacturer too. Absolutely shocking !

Buyer Beware: Misrepresentation in Furniture Purchase As a diligent consumer, I embarked on the journey of furnishing my living space, aiming for both comfort and aesthetic appeal. However, what transpired during this process has left me with a sour taste and a cautionary tale to share. My experience with purchasing misrepresented furniture has been nothing short of disappointing. I placed an order for a Living room Oak set from a well-known online furniture retailer, enticed by the promising images and descriptions showcased on their website. The pictures showed Solid Oak even in there Description– all seemingly perfect for my envisioned living room. However, later on down the line the furniture has started to bubble , reality starkly contrasted with the online portrayal. First and foremost, the material used was of significantly lower quality than advertised. Instead of the promised Chunky Oak the Furniture was actually Veneered in the middle a flimsy material that resembled nothing close to the luxurious Chunky oak that they depicted online. The Painted oak which they advertise as lacked the promised trueness, with it being Softwood again this is a Lie. Moreover, I am now left with a set of furniture that is unusable as this can not be made to look like new again. Attempting to rectify the situation, I reached out to the customer service department, hoping for a resolution. However, the process was riddled with inefficiencies and lack of accountability. Responses were short and when provided, they offered little in terms of solutions or compensation for the misrepresented product and Shrubbed it off. In hindsight, my experience serves as a cautionary tale for fellow consumers. It underscores the importance of scrutinizing product descriptions, seeking out independent reviews, and perhaps most importantly, managing expectations when making online purchases, especially when it comes to furniture. In conclusion, the ordeal of ordering misrepresented furniture has been a lesson learned the hard way. While the convenience of online shopping is undeniable, it is imperative to remain vigilant and discerning to avoid falling victim to deceptive practices. As for me, I'll be more cautious in my future furniture endeavors, opting for retailers with transparent policies and a commitment to accurately representing their products.

Hi Matthew. Thanks for your review, we appreciate all feedback regardless of its nature. It is very difficult to me to respond to many of your claims on the basis that your order is almost 4 years old and as a result, I'm unsure how these items were depicted on the website at that point in time. The length of time you've been in possession of the items also gives us little options in terms of rectifying any issues as it's well beyond any returns period. I would be surprised however if we had described the furniture as solid oak as you have suggested. The items you've purchased do include solid oak, but aren't entirely solid oak and wouldn't have been advertised as such. I appreciate that you are clearly very unhappy with the experience you've had shopping which is naturally disappointing. We're sorry for this. Kind regards, Chiltern Oak Furniture.
