“Ordered a TV stand and had to send it back because unit had scratches all over the wood top. Customer services got in touch and re-arranged for a replacement unit to be sent. Replacement unit arrives and it looks in good state until I take it out of the packaging and notice that one of the unit doors doesn't close properly, unit has scratches on wood top and one of the shelves. I would never purchase anything else from this vendor as I don't feel that the high price matches the quality of the furniture.”

“I recieved the oak topped bookcase, well packaged and a quick delivery. Unfortunately the finish is second rate. The stapled back panel was not secured in all areas. In addition, the paint finish is incomplete with gaps where the panels meet down the sides and the bottom panel/shelf is not square leaving a gap.”

“Ordered three items of furniture was given a delivery date. My furniture didn't arrive no message phone call or email to say why. I rang no reply on several occasions l emailed no response Eventually l did get through and was told it was out of stock. I did get a refund but all in all after service is appalling”

“Chiltern Oak delivered the unit on time and we’re very professional and would use them again. The unit itself is not perfect and one drawer protrudes out which does affect the finished look.”

“I was delighted with the dining chairs that were dispatched and arrived quickly, however unfortunately my order only partially arrived. Although the fault seemed to lie with DPD, the options Chiltern customer service offered me were limited to help alleviate the situation. I have since realised that the Chiltern prices are inflated to accommodate hidden 'free delivery' costs which unfortunately seem exorbitant when considering I found my chairs with a saving of £80 on a different website. I cannot think that the delivery of my chairs would have totalled half this amount. As a word of advice to future customers, once you have shipping confirmation it would be wise to contact Chiltern to establish the number of parcels you should be expecting. This is something they do not do and had I known to expect 5 parcels rather than 3, I would've known that parcels were missing immediately. Unfortunately because they do not advise the number of parcels that have been shipped it is difficult to know if an order is entire at delivery.”

“I recently purchased a bookcase from this firm it arrived on time it came with one man instead of two as promised when and packed the back was falling off been in touch with the firm and they said they would give me a refund if I sent them a picture which I did I never answer me straight away which they haven’t so I tried ringing on this again this morning as soon as they open at 20 minutes and still no answer just hang on we will get back to you I think this is disgraceful and I think it needs looking into they don’t even answer their emails so what is wrong with this phone are you aware man”

“Love the quality of my larder unit. It’s v good value for a reasonable price. Good design, neat finishing and great colour. Stores a lot!! Really has transformed my kitchen storage. Highly recommend.”

“Stock levels. Beware of what the website says. Also what the customer services team say. Ordered a sideboard with matching coffee table and nest of tables. 2 days after the order was placed and paid in full we received an email saying that the coffee table was never in stock. This was despite ordering on the telephone. We were told we were not getting the coffee table and will need to wait. I have had no further updates. Furniture was delivered yesterday. We have now been told that the nest of tables could not be located and were missing. Have been told there is now a 10-12 week wait. All this despite paying in full on order. Looking at the website today it says they are in stock. I have emailed but received no reply. No idea what is happening. Also ordered 2 chest of drawers which also arrived. The matching bedside cabinets we had been told were out of stock also but again on the website as being in stock. Whilst I fully understand stock delivery delays I think they need to be more transparent when it comes to actual stock levels. Beware and do not believe what they say.”

“I ordered three items in November 2020, all arrived well made and in excellent condition. I decided this year to order similar items for the back lounge. They arrive damaged, with bent screws, joints coming apart. I spent 45 minutes on the phone waiting for an answer and got a full refund. I don’t know what’s happened to this company, have they changed their supplier or something. I won’t be ordering anything from them again, which is a shame.”
