poor quality not OAK My Mother ordered a coffee table as a Christmas gift, on opening the box just after Christmas the coffee table was damaged beyond economical repair. Overall, the joints were visibly loose across several areas, particularly around the drawers - The central support below the drawers is snapped - The bottom shelf is loose/is coming away from the rest of the table - The top is loose/coming away from the rest of the table - The table top has a crack and large scratch in the centre. So overall the present was a nightmare, the quality of the wood was poor, never oak in a million years!! The upside to this nightmare, the returns procedure was straightforward and prompt and they credited the account back within 7 working day. Their Customer service assistant, knew her stuff, but I was surprised that straightaway, she offered me 30% discount, if I wanted to keep the coffee table, even with 30% off, the only use for the table would have been for a bonefire, laughable really.

Forget trying to speak to customer services on the phone unless you have half hour to wait and be prepared to chase them 2 or 3 times by email until you get a response. Having paid for the white glove delivery service, one of the wardrobe doors sticks and recently noticed the feet are at slightly different heights and were not adjusted? I can't be bothered to go through the painful process of trying to contact them again having gone through it when initially delivered damaged and will live with it. Would NEVER deal with them again

I would not recommend this company at all to anyone!! I ordered a large quantity of furniture back in September 2021. Dining table, chairs, sideboard, two smaller cupboard and a bedside cabinet. Was told table not in stock, but would be within 10-12 week, then my entire order would be delivered. They took full payment from me at point of ordering I rang today, 17 weeks later to see what’s happening. Only to be told my table has been in for a while but they now have no bedside cabinet. I have to wait till March for it to come in again. Basically they gave part of my order to someone else!! No email to notify me in all this time!! This is disgraceful, insulting and not even mediocre service!! Stay well away. I have requested a full refund!!

Purchased 5 pieces of bedroom furniture from the "Florence" range (2 x bedside tables / 2 x Chest of drawers and 1 x tallboy unit). Not only did the delivery turn up to my new home address on the day I had NOT scheduled / accepted, meaning I had to rush around to the home having received a phone call at 06.31 hrs with the men outside my new home, asking me to attend! All items were damaged/flawed in some way. Whilst packaging was "good" - clearly items had received damages and I am not sure how these items passed the quality check with scuffs / marring to the wood. The quality is poor. Not the solid wood advertised. Wobbly and cheap. I wouldn't take the risk in re ordering and having the same issues again although the furniture from a distance looks nice. I was able to reach customer services on Xmas Eve, and was advised I had to email in with pictures etc. Now waiting on a collection which I am advised could be 5-12 days despite me requesting this needs expediting. A complete inconvenience, as we now have 5 fully assembled pieces taking up room in our new home which means we cannot replace elsewhere until these are removed. Shocking quality for £1300! I wish I had taken note of reviews prior to ordering. The condition of these items is beyond unacceptable and all 5 pieces flawed / damaged in some way. Damages to both sides of the chest of drawers, the second chest of drawers has a piece of wood finished at an angle rather than in a straight line! Scratches and blotches to bed side tables, finish awful down one side, tall boy cracked down one side. Heartbreaking to open these and see the state of the items when trying to set up our new home. Lets see how long the saga of collection and refunding takes, whilst having to outlay costs for new items elsewhere....

Ordered a TV stand and had to send it back because unit had scratches all over the wood top. Customer services got in touch and re-arranged for a replacement unit to be sent. Replacement unit arrives and it looks in good state until I take it out of the packaging and notice that one of the unit doors doesn't close properly, unit has scratches on wood top and one of the shelves. I would never purchase anything else from this vendor as I don't feel that the high price matches the quality of the furniture.

Ordered three items of furniture was given a delivery date. My furniture didn't arrive no message phone call or email to say why. I rang no reply on several occasions l emailed no response Eventually l did get through and was told it was out of stock. I did get a refund but all in all after service is appalling

I recently purchased a bookcase from this firm it arrived on time it came with one man instead of two as promised when and packed the back was falling off been in touch with the firm and they said they would give me a refund if I sent them a picture which I did I never answer me straight away which they haven’t so I tried ringing on this again this morning as soon as they open at 20 minutes and still no answer just hang on we will get back to you I think this is disgraceful and I think it needs looking into they don’t even answer their emails so what is wrong with this phone are you aware man

After trying to speak to customer services for 3 days (didn't have time to hang on phone for 30 mins until weekend) was told to send email and haven't even received acknowledgement despite sending another one 2 days later, terrible service!

This turned up damaged poor quality gaps in the furniture. Paint work finish terrible.

I ordered three items in November 2020, all arrived well made and in excellent condition. I decided this year to order similar items for the back lounge. They arrive damaged, with bent screws, joints coming apart. I spent 45 minutes on the phone waiting for an answer and got a full refund. I don’t know what’s happened to this company, have they changed their supplier or something. I won’t be ordering anything from them again, which is a shame.

Tried to pay had card refused because it didnt match the number I put in four times which was right I've never had a problem before have you got any idea how frustrating it is to be told you cant order something you cant need the £358 obviously

I rang twice to order chairs. I was on the phone over half an hour each time. The first time I tried to order 8 chairs. I was told they didn't have eight. After a rethink I rang back the following day to order 6. After another lengthy phone call I was told they only had 2 in stock. Useless.

One of the cabinets I ordered (£199) was faulty on delivery and so I requested it be collected. That was on 23 November and it is now 6 December. I had an email in response to mine with apologies and that they would chase up the recovery, but since then nothing. Tried to ring but nobody picked up after 20 minutes, and no answer to my recent emails. SERVICE IS APPALLING! Somehow they can arrange delivery within 5 days of a sales order but when it come to returns they are very very slow and are able to hang on your money for as long as they like. Even though I purchased other pieces of furniture from them which was fine, I won't be buying anything else now because their after service is so bad, which is a shame. I hope this review will get them to do something to improve their service otherwise, if I was a new purchaser I would hesitate buying anything from them.

One man delivery for large 180cm tap bookshelf that has arrived damaged the top has come off and will not reattached the screws pull straight out. Box was damaged on receipt. No one answers the phones and you do not receive confirmation emails so cannot track anything. SoMe needs to actually do some work and pick up the phone to process return.

I have sent two emails and tried telephoning but to no avail. Regrettably the console desk handle was broken. I was trying too find out what do but no-one wants to communicate with me. Other than that the table is very nice and for the money good value. Only problem is broken handle but worse no-one is willing to reply to my emails or answer the phone.

My lounge furniture was due for delivery on Thursday 18th Nov - unfortunately the coffee table was missing from the delivery and the book case and nest of tables were both damaged. It took mw an hour to get through to someone to speak too and I also emailed but I still have not had a response or call to inform me when the coffee table will be delivered and when the damaged items will be replaced - very disappointed as the TV cabinet is lovely and I just want to have the rest of the matching furniture. A call or email to keep be updated would be appreciated

We had just moved into a new home and had a cupboard shortage. Our dry goods, cans, herbs, spices and bottles were stacked in a corner. An order for a beautiful looking Hampshire Grey Large Larder (according to the website photos at least) was placed on 13 August and we waited a few weeks for delivery. However when we opened the packaging, which looked like it had already been opened and resealed (not very well), we were both astounded and very disappointed. When you are paying out c. £800 your expectation is high, actually I mean very high. The quality of the finished product was dubious and the amount of individual faults was ridiculous. These weren’t just cosmetic, they were significant issues, which should never have passed quality control and been signed off for shipping. We emailed customer services immediately the same day and we were asked to send photographic evidence which we did. The attitude in their responses was indifferent at best. If you could shrug shoulders by email, it would be like that. We were offered a derisory 15% refund if we wanted to keep it as is, with a missing part being sent by post. We obviously declined. No alternative product was offered. We requested an exchange, and were advised that the product was out of stock and we would have an estimated 10-12 week wait. Meanwhile, the contents of our larder are still awaiting a home. The follow up service keeping us informed has been non-existent, the offer of compensation or similar has again been non-existent. We have now chased them up and got a standard response and so we are still awaiting the replacement with no expected delivery date. If this is what this company stands for, I strongly advise you to shop elsewhere, they don’t deserve your hard earned money.

Ordered and it arrived next day. Excellent. However, upon opening it hadn't been assembled properly. The joints were gaping and the dowels were showing. Too much hassel to repack and send back so I've had to give it some good wacks with a mallet but still slight gaps. Really disappointed. Wanted to buy more furniture from ths company but will be looking elsewhere now.
