“I always say that you only know how good a company is when you have a problem. Well I found out today! Firstly, I needed the bed in a hurry and was really happy that I could collect it from the Corby warehouse, just 20 minutes down the road from me. The bed was very well packaged and was super quality but we noticed a manufacturing fault in one of the long side bed boards. I sent an email and photos to the helpline who said to package everything up in anticipation of it being collected. The bed had been unpacked in the bedroom and the packaging already bundled into the garage for a dump run. So it would have been a huge inconvenience to pack everything up. I pointed this out in a further email and rather than putting her jobsworth hat on, she checked with her manager who agreed with me and it was decided that I could return just the offending part. Hurrah! I trundled off to Corby this morning expecting a swift change over which didn’t happen! The only one left in the warehouse had a small paint chip so they set about rectifying the problem, removed all the fixings, resprayed it which made it as good as new. The warehouse manager offered me a cuppa which I gratefully accepted and offered to deliver the item this afternoon once it had dried properly. It duly arrived about 10 minutes ago, along with the warehouse manager who reassured me that the item was now in perfect condition. Although the whole event wasn’t perfect, I’ve still awarded 5 stars as they listened, provided excellent customer service in a very professional manner and achieved the result I was looking for. Oh, and I got a great bed!!”

“I was slightly nervous about ordering from an online company without seeing the furniture first, but I am Very pleased with my new dining room furniture, impressed with the quality and finish or each item, how well packed each item was, delivered on time and drivers very courteous. Very impressed with customer service response to a issue with one table leg which was rectified promptly. Would definitely buy from this company again.”

“Ordered an oak wardrobe online only to be told 24 hours later that it was out of stock even though their website had allowed me to order it! Despite numerous emails I am still waiting for a refund! Totally unacceptable. If I could give this company zero stars I would!!”

“Really pleased with TV unit and colour matched coffee table. Quality is great and looks beautiful. I bought these in January sale, feels like a bargain after the product arrived. This company is like Apple, deigned by company and manufactured in Far East. Very well packaged and well protected. Delivery was delayed due to item running out of stock after I ordered but they kept me well informed. Would buy again from them.”

“Ordered 4 items for our living room. Very well packaged, all items look absolutely great. We have just placed another order this Thursday morning for another room. With so many places with delivery dates up to 6 months we were surprised to find Chiltern Oak could deliver within a couple of days, and they did. Would certainly recommend. Thank you very much.”

“poor quality not OAK My Mother ordered a coffee table as a Christmas gift, on opening the box just after Christmas the coffee table was damaged beyond economical repair. Overall, the joints were visibly loose across several areas, particularly around the drawers - The central support below the drawers is snapped - The bottom shelf is loose/is coming away from the rest of the table - The top is loose/coming away from the rest of the table - The table top has a crack and large scratch in the centre. So overall the present was a nightmare, the quality of the wood was poor, never oak in a million years!! The upside to this nightmare, the returns procedure was straightforward and prompt and they credited the account back within 7 working day. Their Customer service assistant, knew her stuff, but I was surprised that straightaway, she offered me 30% discount, if I wanted to keep the coffee table, even with 30% off, the only use for the table would have been for a bonefire, laughable really.”

“Forget trying to speak to customer services on the phone unless you have half hour to wait and be prepared to chase them 2 or 3 times by email until you get a response. Having paid for the white glove delivery service, one of the wardrobe doors sticks and recently noticed the feet are at slightly different heights and were not adjusted? I can't be bothered to go through the painful process of trying to contact them again having gone through it when initially delivered damaged and will live with it. Would NEVER deal with them again”

“I would not recommend this company at all to anyone!! I ordered a large quantity of furniture back in September 2021. Dining table, chairs, sideboard, two smaller cupboard and a bedside cabinet. Was told table not in stock, but would be within 10-12 week, then my entire order would be delivered. They took full payment from me at point of ordering I rang today, 17 weeks later to see what’s happening. Only to be told my table has been in for a while but they now have no bedside cabinet. I have to wait till March for it to come in again. Basically they gave part of my order to someone else!! No email to notify me in all this time!! This is disgraceful, insulting and not even mediocre service!! Stay well away. I have requested a full refund!!”
