“We ordered 7 items from the Portland White painted oak bedroom furniture range and one item from the New Sherwood oak range and we are very impressed with the the service and pleased with our products. I ordered over the phone, just to confirm all the items and was told about the white glove, 2-man service. The furniture was delivered within a week and the guys were extremely polite and thorough. We would happily use your company again!”

“Many thanks for a great delivery the two guys were extremely polite and cheerful and took care getting the chest up the stairs into the bedroom. Service was excellent from the point of order with a convenient 2 hr delivery slot. So much better than the usual anytime between 7am and 7pm from some suppliers. Lovely quality made oak chest of draws will definitely be shopping with you again.”

“I ordered two items on Monday 23rd Oct. at 10.45am, I received an email stating I would be contacted on Tuesday 24th to give me a two hour time slot for delivery on Thursday 26th and all of this was done. I have never had service as good as this anywhere plus both items were as described. First class in every department including the two guys who delivered the items.”

“The order process and delivery was very straight-forward. The delivery chaps were extremely friendly, professional and helpful. Took furniture out of its packaging, moved it to the right place and took all the packaging with them. The furniture looks fantastic and good build quality. I have to say it was a very pleasant experience so I'll be most happy to be ordering from Chiltern Oak again.”

“Horrendous experience from start to finish. Very poor customer service. Item ordered showed as in stock online, money was taken to then receive an email saying it wouldn't be back in stock for 3 weeks (11/10). As I liked the colour so much I decided to wait. I called a few days after I was told it would be in stock, I was informed they were still chasing the supply and should be delivered the following week. I didn't hear anything so called yet again to be told it wouldn't be in stock until 13/11. Nobody kept me informed and am now left trying to source one elsewhere which I could have done weeks ago. Appalling.”

Hi Henrietta. I'm sorry to hear that you haven't had a positive experience with us and we do appreciate your feedback as it helps us to improve our services. The item in question (in fact, the range in general) is extremely popular and on rare occasions an unprecedented amount of sales in a short period can result in over-selling which is what happened in this instance. Subsequently the supplier failed to inform us of a further delay, however we accept full responsibility for this as we should have been chasing the supplier until the order was fulfilled. With regards to money being taken, this is part-and-parcel of online shopping as full payment is taken at the point of sale. I wish you good luck in sourcing the item elsewhere. “Chiltern's website is easy to navigate and equally as easy to order from. I was kept informed of the delivery date which meant I could easily arrange for someone to be in. The furniture was stunning and well made for the price and arrived with no damage or defects. I would certainly use this supplier again.”
