I ordered 2 chest of drawers from this company and cannot say how disappointed I am with the service. The drawers were delivered upside down and living on my own I had to unpack and turn them over. One set has a significant chip to the top and the other a scratch and black mark across the front of the drawer. I agreed to a replacement to find a card through my letterbox saying I had missed a delivery. Needless to say I did not get a text or call advising me of the delivery. Despite 2 calls and and an email I am still waiting for someone to come back to me from Customer service about a replacement. I usually use another national oak furniture company without any problems. This is the first negative review I have ever wrote but I strongly advise you to think long and hard when ordering or you too could have wasted £700.

I purchased a wardrobe, bedside cabinets and chest of draws, they arrived the wardrobe was damaged. I called and a replacement was sent, it arrived, they started to build it and I noticed that this was also damaged. More damage than the original wardrobe that was sent! I asked them to take it away and re-build the original one, whilst doing this they managed to damage it even more. I called and another replacement was sent, this arrived and was also damaged! Appalling customer service, no one seems to care was offered a 5% goodwill gesture! No managers or supervisors available to speak to! I highly suggest that you DO NOT buy from this company, they just take your money and send you damaged goods. I will be reporting them to trading standards.

Still haven’t received our order (approx £1000 worth of furniture) due to the delivery being delayed 4 times by the company and often the day before it’s meant to be delivered. We were E mailed the afternoon/evening before delivery days saying that there’s no stock? And would we be happy to wait another month ‘when there will be some stock’…? Rinse and repeat. No real response when we queried what’s going on, wondering whether we’ll ever get our order or any compensation for the issues. Really unhappy with the service.

Told me on the day of delivery that they couldn't find it in the warehouse. Only option would be to wait 4 weeks for new stock. No alternative provided at all.

Didn’t receive this order. Placed order but found out 4 days later they wouldn’t deliver to my area. They has also already taken the money and having to wait 5-7 days for refund. Have also placed orders before with no issues. Frustrated to have missed out on Easter offers elsewhere.

Ordered hall table on the 7th April, had an email back to say it would be delivered 22nd April between 11am -2pm waited in all day nothing came, no message no phone call. Called them they answered and hung up, tried leaving message couldn't do it no response to emails. Worried now we have been scammed and will demand our money back. Beware !!

An item of furniture was collected on April 13th. It is now over 9 days and allowing for the Bank Holiday I am still waiting for a refund. Earlier this week I returned to the store to look at alternative pieces of furniture. What a bonus that the chosen item had a reduction of 10% Item chosen....colour chosen....bill of sale completed only to be told that the 10% reduction was a mistake. I made a bigger mistake by returning to this store!

This. Company are awful at customer service ordered 3 pieces of furniture all came damaged Took photos and eventually got a collection date which they phoned on the day to cancel then waited another fortnight to get a text for collection today only to receive another text a few days later to say there not collecting after all and they will send me another date phoned up and to say they were useless and not willing to help wouldn’t use this company again and absolutely would not recommend

Questionable Sales Practice Placed the order for chairs and a bench on the basis of ‘in stock’ showing on the website. Paid the money to be told that they checked the warehouse to find that they had none. Told that they would be in stock shortly and did I want to continue with the order. Accepting payment on the promise of a 48 hour delivery when you don’t actually have the stock is very sharp (but clearly effective) sales practice and a lucrative way to fund the company. I wonder how many sales are secured in this way with full payment made weeks before delivery ? Suggest you read the other reviews before placing an order….

Display cabinet arrived having been dropped. The structure of the cabinet was wrecked. After sending images of the damage the return was eventually arranged. The pick up time was for a week!!! The cabinet has just been collected but I had no IDEA WHEN THIS WOULD HAPPEN. The cabinet looked good in the pictures but was very shoddily built. The strongest part was the reinforced glass!! I will need use Chiltern again, the items are shoddy and the after sales service useless. Cheap in this case is certainly NOT cheerful.

Just had delivery of Salisbury Ivory painted wardrobes. They are not Ivory. Anything but. They are cream coloured. If you are expecting ivory then order the white as they may well be closer to ivory, certainly better than this colour. The rest of my bedroom furniture is ivory. Huge difference. I do not have the time to wait and return these wardrobes and then wait for another delivery so will have to have them painted. Huge disappointment.

Display cabinet delivered on time but it had obviously been dropped- The top had sheared away from the cabinet. Two man delivery promised, only one turned up.

The website says that delivery will be within 48hrs. So to be kind, as the order was placed on Sunday 12th March, delivery wasn't really expected until Wednesday 16th. I received an email from DPD saying delivery would be on 17th (strange 48hrs) and we would receive a text with an hours time slot. No text, no delivery. Phoned Chiltern Oak Furniture on Friday to find out where the order was and they promised to call back. NO ONE CALLED BACK. Then got an email saying "As requested" the delivery had been changed to the 21st. I HAD NOT REQUESTED THE CHANGE but went with it. This afternoon I had to, again, phone Chiltern Oak Furniture to see when/if we could expect the delivery as we STILL hadn't had a text. This time someone did phone back to say that DPD had lost the order and they had no other of the sideboard we had ordered in stock. NOBODY HAD BOTHERED TO CONTACT US TO SAY THERE WAS A PROBLEM. TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. Cancelled our order and will NEVER buy from this company and will NEVER recommend it to anyone. Let's hope I don't have to chase for my refund. If I could put less than one star I would.

I saved for ages to buy a new nest of tables and TV unit. They have just arrived and I have never seen so much damage on new products and I find it hard to believe they had not known about damage before sending g them out. I have emailed them with these photos.

The quality of the sideboard we purchased is not good. Doors and drawers are wonky, so much so that the paint is rubbing off where the door rubs on the frame when opening and closing. There is also damage to the unit we did not notice at first when delivered. This is second unit to be delivered as the first was damaged so had to be replaced.

Terrible customer service. I ordered a wardrobe & paid extra for white glove installation. The wardrobe arrived with no fittings. I now don't want the wardrobe, having already waited 2 weeks, it is needed this weekend. I am told nothing can be done, it will be collected in 12 days even though I have explained it is a small flat with no storage space. I offered to find my own courier so it can be collected tomorrow and asked to be reimbursed, I was told this was not possible.

We never got as far as seeing the wardrobe that we had ordered. The delivery process was utterly shambolic with the delivery company unable to stick to a three hour timeframe and unable to let anyone know when they might be able to redeliver. They are working at their own convenience, not the customer's. Avoid this company.

Had 2 orders for different furniture items. - Both orders contained damaged items, due to a non existent QA process and poor packaging - The furniture is not the high quality I was expecting. The “oak” tops are 95% cheap MDF, with small oak side pieces and a thin top oak layer stuck on top, leaving inconsistencies in colour between these various pieces and visible join lines. This is false advertising as they don’t mention this anywhere on their website and advertise everything as “oak furniture” with “chunky oak tops”. From the look of the boxes it arrives in they source the products manufactured at low cost abroad and just resell them - The customer service is terrible. One refund not processed at all in the promised timeframe and I had to waste my time chasing it up. (They clearly have a lot of refunds to process, I wonder why?). Issue with the second refund with them not able to follow basic instructions or use any common sense Avoid at all costs

Ordered an oak wardrobe online only to be told 24 hours later that it was out of stock even though their website had allowed me to order it! Despite numerous emails I am still waiting for a refund! Totally unacceptable. If I could give this company zero stars I would!!
