Cabinet delivered damaged with a warped door that would not close. Replacement cabinet was sent - upon opening the box it was completely shattered. How anyone could send a replacement in the state it is in is beyond me. It's like a bizarre collection of broken parts. I think damaged items just get put back into circulation so it's a lottery what you receive. Oh - and I challenge anybody to call their customer service team and get them to pick up. I've been waiting for 30mins and it's my second attempt. 100% record of failure so far. Not sure how they are still in business.

I have bought a Hampshire White painted Oak double bed frame and after only a year and half the bed frame was broken as you can see on the attached below, I have complained and explained this if the company can exchange or refund some of it and told me "the item has presumably been used many hundreds of times and no longer take responsibility for structural issues" which is in my experience is a statement that seems rather hollow and their advert says 'made to lasts' BEWARE for those who want to buy this product. RUBBISH!!

Sadly the Rutland a painted Oak Chest of 6 drawers @ £404 to get to a room in my house was very disappointing. The first delivery had to be returned as the furniture was utterly shattered. The box had clearly been dropped during its travels from the workshop in Viet Nam. The courier refused point blank to open the box or wait for me to do so. A replacement was received. It was obvious that this was a regular occurrence. The design may look good from the photo online the material and method of construction are very basic and cheap. Though the product description is suppose to be oak its definitely not the solid oak we are use to in the UK. The wood is too soft. The leaflet in the drawers says it’s natural wood , wood veneers and painted MDF. Oak is not stated. There is no certified document to state it’s oak. I suspect it’s local Vietnamese wood. The drawer sliding action is rough being wood on wood… I.e. not sliding rollers. Should we therefore wax the wood sliders? The strength of the bottom leg support is questionable. Haven’t seen this design for 30 years. The top is not a solid oak top as seen. It’s laminated wood with cheap wood underneath. The back hardboard is stapled. My conclusion is it’s a cheap design and construction which is of poor value. Definitely not worth anyway near £404.

Nightmare service. Ordered four items, one arrived severely damaged - tried for four days to contact company by phone, email and messenger - eventually answered their phone after a another 40 minute wait. Promised they would arrange courier so I can return the bulky item (which is taking up valuable space) and get a refund. Still waiting for confirmation and still having to accommodate the box. Just noticed another item is also damaged but I’ve started to use it now - definitely would not use this company again. Their customer response time is shocking and they don’t fulfil their promises.

If I could give this company a zero I would. Ordered 5 pieces bedside tables, dressing table etc. 3 out of 5 were badly damaged, chipped and scratched wood. This is awful, I wish I stayed well away from this company. Such a waste of £500. I would recommend anyone to look elsewhere at more reputable companies when looking to buy good qualify pieces.

We ordered 2 bedside cabinets and one large chest of drawers all 3 were badly damaged. They replaced them no problems. Unfortunately 2 out of the 3 replacements were damaged. Sadly when bringing in their furniture they damaged the walls and the architrave. They replaced the furniture but no offer to repair the damage to our property. The 3rd set arrived and yet again they were damaged and shocking quality. I can't tell you how disappointed we are with the products. The delivery man suggested we got a marker pen to cover some of the damage!! I would think twice before buying from this company. It's online only so you can't view the products. I have attached photos to give you an idea of the poor finish on this rather expensive furniture.

Absolute disgrace! Ordered two sets of drawers which came really badly damaged and a sage green Florence unit, the Banbury design turned up instead. A nightmare to get hold of to rectify, told I would be contacted but had radio silence then a text message out of the blue weeks later to say a delivery company was coming to collect the damaged order. They have arrived and have on their information sheet for a completely different order so haven’t been able to collect the boxes..three massive ones that have been in my house since delivery nearly two months ago. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!! Still waiting on a refund of £1250 and no word yet.

Ordered a four wicker basket, two drawer unit. Ordering and delivery went well but on unpacking, one of the baskets did not match. I called sales immediately and sent the required email and picture. Automated response saying they should resolve in 72 hours. Still waiting over a week later. I have called several times, to be told they are awaiting a response from the workshop. Last call was thirty minutes ago to yet another assistant who could tell me nothing. This is very poor customer service. I don't want to return the item for such a trivial error on their part as I could end up with an even more unacceptable replacement. Just get your act together and ensure all the departments speak to each other or you will fail on your service to the people that are the life blood of your business, your customers.

Cheap uneven sided and feels like plastic rather than wood. Shelves are out of line too. Absolute rubbish.

My first order went missing. I had to chase it up. When it came one of the table legs was snapped, having to wait, again, for a replacement. Very disappointed!!! 😡

The nest of tables I ordered arrived with the largest one damaged beyond belief. The wood on the table top was broken and one leg was not attached. I contacted Chiltern about the damage and was told to send photos, which I did. No word of apology, or offer to send a replacement. The tables were eventually collected 15 DAYS LATER, and the refund arrived another 6 days after that. Not impressed.

Bought small bedside cabinet and quite disappointed at quality of make. The drawers don't open and shut properly and fall off the runner. You have to hold the back of the drawers steady to open the drawer, it then falls off the runner so you have to fiddle it about to close. The spray quality is average too as you can see some lacquer blemishes. Wouldn't buy again if this is the best they can do

Arrived broken. Clearly handled with no care either in storage or with the courier. Very disappointed and dissatisfied with my purchase. Unfortunately I would not recommend this service. It’s a shame, the product would have been nice otherwise.

The furniture I ordered (Sailsbury blue painted oak console table with wicker baskets and 3 door large sideboard) arrived damaged. My delivery arrived so badly scratched/damaged that I’ve had to return them. Order placed 18th may, arrived 2nd June and return collected 24th June as they are so slow to collect and expect you to store faulty furniture for 3 weeks! The units were scratched, exposed screws from being poorly made and chips exposing the mdf. These are listed as oak but it was confirmed by the sticker on them and the company it’s mdf with a oak trim! Really misleading as nowhere on the website says this. I shared my opinion on Facebook and they deleted it, personally as a buisness I would try to help the customer not try to silence them. Wasn’t allowed a refund until they collected so I’m awaiting that which given it takes so long is so disappointing not everyone has the space to store until they can sort out their problem. They confirmed on phone it’s outsourced and they don’t do quality checks! So disapointed a waste of days annual leave to wait in for them to collect it too.

When I ordered a matching three door wardrobe and a tall boy drawer set, the three door wardrobe was badly damaged and irreparable. When I asked for a replacement they said they were now out of stock. I decided to purchase another two wardrobes to match but when it arrived, there was damage as attached and the subcontracting company that assembled the furniture stained my carpet with oil like substance. I’m not sure why they were using oil but they have ruined my new carpet (under a year old). When I complained of this, the initial response was that it wasn’t the company’s fault as I should have covered the carpet. I like the furniture but the hassle and grief has made this whole experience sour and not worth it. If I could go back, I wouldn’t have ordered !!

The doors don’t close on my wardrobe with normal sized coat hangers (44cm). It is a nice sized wardrobe but deceivingly has very little hanging space. The colour is definitely a strong cream, not ivory. Disappointed in functionality, especially at the price point.

Received a sideboard with more chips and flawed pieces of wood than I have ever seen. Absolutely appalling workmanship. Received a replacement which was even worse! Received my Second replacement which as promised by them, and I quote: “We will quality check this for you and take pictures of the new unit”. THIS CLEARLY DID NOT HAPPEN!! It appears this was an empty promise, i got up at 5.30 to take delivery of this which had been, according to them, quality checked before leaving the depot/warehouse/store. All I can say is, if this as been quality checked and accepted suitable for sale I would hate to see the items you see unfit for sale. I have attached photos. We have now read the ridiculous one star reviews on the website and now have a very clear idea of how your company operates. This being providing sub-standard furniture which is made in Vietnam by people who have very little skill and are given sub-standard materials to work with. To receive one piece of faulty/damaged furniture can be understandable but THREE is down to very cheap materials and workmanship.
