“I had been looking for a TV stand for ages but couldn’t justify the cost. I found exactly what I wanted from Chiltern Oak at a much lower price. The communication with the company was excellent as they kept me informed every step of the way. The item was delivered promptly. The stand is absolutely as shown on the site. It’s beautiful, I love it, and can appreciate it even more because of the reasonable price. Thank you Chiltern, I will definitely be buying from you again.”

“For anybody reading this, this is Part 1 of hopefully what will be a 2 part review. We ordered some ‘Portland’ bedroom furniture from Chiltern due to the look of the furniture on offer/ the competertive pricing/the good reviews and the free delivery. The furniture arrived as promised and because our purchase price warranted ‘white glove’ delivery it was to be assembled! With this in mind one would expect the delivery team to have the required tools/equipment to do the necessary, NO! My wife was asked for scissors for wrappings etc and a screwdriver for assembly. The furniture is of the quality expected but there are defects on the wardrobe and the oak top on the said wardrobe has been screwed on with the ‘face side’ inside!! I have mailed and phoned Chris and Karl at Chiltern and they assure me the wardrobe will be replaced ASAP. When this happens and if all ok, then my rating will be upped to 5. We all know that sometimes stuff gets damaged etc and we are willing to accept that.If Chris and Karl deliver as per promise then I can only thank them for the lovely furniture and quality service. As for the delivery team, get some tools👍”

“Delighted with our purchase of 2 oak bedside chest of drawers. Best price we'd found and free delivery to the North of Scotland! This was such a bonus for us as some companies either do not deliver this far north or they charge extra for this service so well done Chiltern Oak for an an excellent service. I have recommended you to all my family and friends and I know some have already ordered. We were kept well informed all the way along the ordering and delivery process. Would definitely buy from here again.”

“I bought an oak wine table over a year ago and wanted another to match. The store in Cambridge from where I purchased the original one had closed down, but I saw a similar table on Chiltern Oak Furniture's website for a good price. Luckily, it was virtually identical! Delivery was fast and the table was well packaged. I would definitely buy from Chiltern Oak Furniture again.”

“The bookcase looks better than expected for the price. I was really pleased to find that it has adjustable shelves, something I didn't see in the advert. It was delivered promptly and well packaged and looks just as good with the other oak furniture I have. Although not all solid oak, it is well made and does the job!”

“Delivered quickly and as notified. Absolutely delighted with the two lamp tables. They are v good quality, v solid & heavy with beautiful chunky oak tops. The painted finish & colour is perfect. Couldn't recommend enough 😊”

“Terrrible service ordered online they took my payment for the bed. Called arranged a delivery date. Then on that date called me and said the delivery driver has not put my order on the lorry and I will have to wait another week. Explained my house is upside down as I have emptied the bedroom ready for the new bed I need it ASAP next week is not good enough. Lady who spoke to on the phone said I will call u back and let u know. Had no call back that day left them two voicemails. Next day mid day I had to call them back myself for them to tell me they dnt even have the bed in stock and I would have to wait even longer till next stock arrived !!! So beware they may say they have the item in stock take your money to later tell u they dnt have it in stock and you could be waiting weeks if not months !! Never using these again.”

Hello there. I'm really sorry to hear that you've had a disappointing experience with us. It's certainly not up to our usual standards and we'll be making some internal changes to ensure better communication between departments so that this sort of issue doesn't happen again. Unfortunately this was a Clearance item and we didn't have the stock in the Warehouse that our systems suggested we did. This wasn't communicated properly to the relevant people and as a result delivery was still attempted, for this I must apologise as this was a waste of your time. I cannot account for the subsequent unfulfilled promises regarding phone calls, other than to say that it's been an extremely busy period for us as a result of our Black Friday Sale and I can only assume that some human error has occurred. I'm sure we could have arranged for a similar alternative to be delivered to you swiftly however I can see that the order has been cancelled and refunded. I'm very sorry for any inconvenience caused.
