“Very high quality item (a tall, wide, shallow shelved London bookcase) and superbly packaged with multilayer cardboard and polystyrene protection, thus avoiding virtually all likelihood of damage in transit. An excellent company.”

“My bookcase was delivered on time by two very helpful people. The bookcase was taken upstairs for me and it was packed really well. I have used Chiltern Oak Furniture Store several times over the past two years and I would definitely recommend them.”

“Excellent service, very good quality and great value. We were informed by phone of the expected timing of the delivery of out tv unit. We were given a 2 hour time slot and it arrived within that time. The 2 delivery men were very friendly and helpful and it was extremely well packed. It even came with 2 sets of knobs to choose from! Love it. Would definitely buy from Chiltern again and definitely recommend them.”

“Good value arrived ready assembled a huge bonus very well packed quite light so easy to move around.. Probably up to ten year life but nice to have a change rather than buy more expensive solid heavy oak furniture which lasts a life time and gets tired and knocked about. Very happy”

“Too good to be true but it was! Ordered wine cabinet Sunday, company emailed Monday to say delivery Tuesday and would be contacted Tuesday with 1 hour time slot which did happen. Item delivered extremely well packaged. Item in perfect condition wine bottles in place now extremely happy 👍 great service and good price and item came fully assembled, couldn’t ask for more 10/10.”

“I would never shop with this company ever!!!!! Everyone should avoid at all costs!!! I placed an order and the day came for delivery and luckily the delivery men were running an hour early. When I started unpacking the product I found masses of damage I rung the company to ask for the delivery men to come back and collect it, which fortunately they did begrudgingly. I was then told a replacement will be sent out the following week, I had to chase to found a rough tome to then find out a replacement hasn’t been ordered. 30mins later i receive a call to say they can do it. I asked for it to be checked over properly before it got here. I have again received a call day before delivery to be told the table isn’t in good enough condition I asked for it to be swapped and they have resold the damaged one. I now have to wait up to 5days for a refund. They don’t care about the stress they’ve caused, they don’t respond to emails. The table I ordered had 5lots I’d damage on it with chuncks of wood out of it. How they can resell that I have no idea. I would avoid at all costs.”

Hi Emma. I'm very sorry to see that you've left us the lowest possible feedback, although I do of course understand the reasons why. Unfortunately when quality checking the second delivery the item was found to have much the same issues as the first and wasn't something you'd have been prepared to accept or we'd have expected you to accept. Your refund was processed instantaneously on 21st but unfortunately refunds for credit and debit card payments can take 3-5 working days to reach your account. This isn't a time-frame that we're in control of. I should also just clarify that damaged items are not sold on to paying customer, we have a relationship with a local clearance furniture outlet that accepts our damaged furniture and this will have been what my colleague was referring to. “This company is spot on. Any time I mail with a query they're really helpful and polite. Recently had bedside tables and matching wardrobe and they were perfect for the space I had. Wardrobe was super easy to assemble and now im just waiting on some preorder items for my new home. They are a little delayed but I've been kept up to date. Very exciting”
