“I am delighted with the rustic oak table I ordered from you. A good solid (heavy) extending table which had been well packed and delivered by two very helpful and friendly men. Will be ordering from this company again.”

“I am very pleased with the quality and appearance, but unfortunately when we unpacked the third one, we discovered it was damaged inside the top right hand corner. The attached photographs and also a photograph of the cardboard box indicates what had occurred in transit. I realise that this problem was not yours and I suspect it is your courier, who I presume have dropped a heavy weight on to one of your bookcase packages which I would say were perfectly adequate, if handled properly. Obviously, this is very inconvenient, having to wait to set up the third bookcase and I am not pleased about your 5-12 working days timescale, particularly as this order was placed on 27 April and I was expecting something like a 48-hour turnaround. I am not impressed with the courier who notified me by email that my order would arrive on Friday 6 May, which it did not and then they informed me on the Monday morning that it would be delivered on Monday, which it was. In my view their tracking site is dreadful and there is no way of contacting them directly. I can only assume that this kind of service does not help your business image. Not only did we have to repack this large bookcase, but the replacement's packaging was damaged also. I could put my hand inside the box, between 2 shelves, but fortunately there was no damage this time. A lot of inconvenience and delay. On the packages it stated ‘Made in Vietnam’, but they can’t be guaranteed to make the journey across the UK in a van. Staff were apologetic and helpful, but all of the above means my complaint was not followed through and I would never purchase again.”

“Very disappointed in COF's delivery service. I had ordered Bergen Oak triple wardrobe, chest of drawers and 2 side tables, not cheap furniture but I have previously bought furniture from this site and was happy with the quality. I also purchased the white glove delivery service (again not cheap but I was happy to pay). Today I received an e mail to say my furniture would be delivered week beginning 13/07/2022 I couldn't be given a specific date and would only get to know a maximum of 48 hours before delivery. This is no use to me, I work full time for the NHS and can't get a holiday (Monday to Friday) at such short notice, no Saturday / Sunday delivery is available. I asked to have delivery delayed slightly and booked in for for a date I am off, but no guarantee could be given. I had envisaged there might be difficulty getting a specific time slot at short notice so had ordered the furniture with good time to arrange delivery (I would be giving nearly two weeks notice) and find it ridiculous that a specific date can't be arranged. Needless to say as no guaranteed delivery date can be given I've had to cancel the order.”

“I ordered a small sideboard in Bergen Blue. It arrived well packed and was very nice looking. Close inspection showed some paint scrapes, which can be dealt with by the touch up pen they are sending, but the thing was the doors didn’t hang symmetrically. The gap at the top of the doors was different on both sides. This was because the hinges holding the door on the right had been fixed a few mm higher. Not sure how this made it past factory quality control because it looks obvious. Anyway, I let them know and they offered a replacement (hence additional star for good customer service) but I hate that kind of hassle and likelihood of same thing again so I resolved to rehang the door myself. Good customer service, but If the quality of production is like this, I wouldn’t buy anything else.”

“I ordered 2 chest of drawers from this company and cannot say how disappointed I am with the service. The drawers were delivered upside down and living on my own I had to unpack and turn them over. One set has a significant chip to the top and the other a scratch and black mark across the front of the drawer. I agreed to a replacement to find a card through my letterbox saying I had missed a delivery. Needless to say I did not get a text or call advising me of the delivery. Despite 2 calls and and an email I am still waiting for someone to come back to me from Customer service about a replacement. I usually use another national oak furniture company without any problems. This is the first negative review I have ever wrote but I strongly advise you to think long and hard when ordering or you too could have wasted £700.”

“I purchased a wardrobe, bedside cabinets and chest of draws, they arrived the wardrobe was damaged. I called and a replacement was sent, it arrived, they started to build it and I noticed that this was also damaged. More damage than the original wardrobe that was sent! I asked them to take it away and re-build the original one, whilst doing this they managed to damage it even more. I called and another replacement was sent, this arrived and was also damaged! Appalling customer service, no one seems to care was offered a 5% goodwill gesture! No managers or supervisors available to speak to! I highly suggest that you DO NOT buy from this company, they just take your money and send you damaged goods. I will be reporting them to trading standards.”

“The wardrobe is stunning. It is beautifully made and finished. Solid and stylish. Delivery was superb. We paid for the white glove delivery which meant that the wardrobe was delivered, built and placed in the room. It really is a very good company.”
