“As usual everything so far has been excellent and delicious, the rest is in the freezer but I expect it to be just as good. One minor gripe with the smoked trout is that the head end of the first one unusually had several pin bones and was quite thickly sliced. This didn't detract from enjoying it!”

“We have been customers of Charlie's Smokehouse for some years now ever since seeing it in a Kate Humble programme about rural businesses. Until then smoked trout was not seen that often and we were more used to smoked salmon. Charlie's products are high quality, lighter in taste and mouth feel and the range has been extended over the years to include pate and fresh trout fillets - we thoroughly recommend the smoked trout and smoked trout pate which can be frozen - just bought our Christmas side of D-cut at a good discount!! We try never to be out of stock of smoked trout slices which are available in a range of sizes and cuts.”

“The most exquisite box of treats arrived in time for our family celebrations. The ease of entertaining was greatly enhanced by the fact that everything tasted so good :you didn’t need more than a fresh salad and some crusty bread in order to present an elegant platter for the family. There is a refinement in the smokey flavours and the beetroot infused smoked salmon was a family favourite- so pretty on the plate. Thank you Charlie.”

“Beautiful Trout. Tried fresh kiln smoked, patè and fishcakes. Totally recommend all of them. Flavoursome, with trout in the fishcakes and the patè given centre stage. The fresh trout cooked quickly and was delicious. The kiln smoked had just the right amount of smokiness. The packing box the fish arrived in was some of the best I have ever seen. All in all a fantastic purchase that I will definitely make again.”
