“I purchased a Charley Chau Deeply Dishy bed for my partners Toy Poodle. I must say, it’s a beautifully made bed with a luxurious feel to the velour. Delivery was super-fast and Winnie absolutely loves it. A fantastic purchase and service all round!”

“Excellent service; charming lady on the phone to help with my order i made a mistake with. Lovely to get the personalised postcard in the parcel. However, the bed itself is too fat. The dog can't easily get into because the cushion is too solidly packed. I don't quite know how we are going to sort this out to get her in it. Do you think it could be because of the liner making the filling compress or what else do you think it could be? I don't remember the previous one being so fat. I'd be pleased to hear your thoughts.”

Hi Fiona, This is rather unusual as we very rarely get comments about our mattresses being too well filled! I notice that you also ordered a Waterproof Bed Liner for the bed and although the fabric is breathable it does mean the air is released from the Liner a lot more slowly and so the mattress may feel like it is quite solid. The Liner can be unzipped by about 3cm and this will let the air escape from the Liner a lot more quickly and the mattress will feel less solid. “I bought a small snuggle bed for our Iggy puppy but she didn’t want to sleep in it as she wanted to sleep with our other Iggy in theirs. Charley Chau were brilliant and swapped the small for a large swiftly and hassle free. Now both iggys snuggle down together, happily ever after! Thank you”

“Beautifully made products, dispatched quickly. We have the day mattress and a snuggle bed which our staffy/whippet absolutely loves. It’s over 30 degrees centigrade today and Lola is in her bed.”

“I have purchased 3 beds from charley chau, two for my dogs and 1 for my brother's dog, all dachshunds. They absolutely LOVE their beds, I love to watch them spread out, they keep very warm and I all see is their little noses poking out!”

“International order: Expect to pay further 30% (including handling fees from the delivery company), despite paying already 30 GBP (!) shipping costs. Customer service/communication sounds a bit unprofessional. Product looks nice.”

Hello, Thank you for taking the time to leave your review. And I’m sorry you feel my communication with you was unprofessional. With regards to the additional charges that were levied against your order by your country’s customs authority and the handling charges from the courier: Unfortunately, because of the UK leaving the EU, all orders we send to EU countries are now subject to import duties, local VAT plus any handling charges from the courier. The charges which are now levied on all the orders we dispatch to the EU are imposed by the local government authorities and completely out of our control. Unfortunately, the additional charges from the courier company, and all other courier companies, are due to the additional work that is now required from them. Again, we have no control over these handling charges which are applied after parcels are collected. Charley Chau does not receive any part of the taxes or surcharges that are subsequently applied after an order has been dispatched. With your order, these charges equated to 30%. Orders received for delivery internationally are not charged at the full UK retail price. Although we are under no obligation to do so we feel it is a small gesture for our customers when taxes and duties will be applied by their government authorities. The equivalent UK sales tax (VAT) is removed which means international customers shop with us tax-free and receive a considerable discount not available to our UK customers. “Quality product made in England. It is hard these days to find something not made in China. The bed with the memory foam mattress and bolster pads is a real hit with Gryff, the Welsh terrier. As soon as it was unpacked he jumped in and clearly was enjoying himself. I can't say enough good things about Jenny and Christine, they were extremely helpful throughout and the package arrived in Australia with minimal delay. There is a great selection of products sold by Charley Chau and I'll be ordering further items soon. Gryff is a bit spoilt !!!”
