Lovely boots but, as has been said in some other reviews, too narrow, so too tight. Not sure how they can be described as a wide fitting. Delivered in good time and easily returned at local shop

Had I purchased from a shop I doubt I would have chosen them as they make your socks/tights fall down and ball up under your feet

Slippers had to be returned as unfortunately too big. Won't be buying again from Charles Clinkard online as p&p for returns as well makes this a bit too expensive!

The slippers were great! But by accident instead of ordering two pairs of size six I by mistake ordered a size 6 and 8 . so had to send one pair back which cost me £5 to return. I reordered the size 6 on Amazon they offer free returns whereas buying them directly from Charles Clinkard I had to pay £5 which makes them more expensive. I will only buy them on Amazon now.

I was very impressed with the quick delivery of my trainers. However, the Sketchers trainer's description is poor. Fastening is described as lace-up, they are false laces and cannot be tightened or adjusted and therefore they are not lace-ups. This is very disappointing as I have narrow feet and always need to have shoes with laces with can be tightened. I would not have ordered these if I had known this and I am now having to pay for the postage to return these to you.

Purchased Fly London Nilo boots. They are on their way back to CC, they were scratched, had no labels and didn't have the 'brand new, just out of the box' look or feel. They were full price, not sale items!!

I've rated this 3/5 because the returns are not free. It was a pain sorting out the return process without a printer as well. I wouldn't buy from this company again based on that as most companies offer free returns now, so I'd buy from them

With regards to returns, we offer a free UK standard delivery with a minimum spend of £40.00, however, we do ask customers to pay the return cost. You can return to a Charles Clinkard store or to our Head Office. We recommend a tracked service, as we do not take responsibility for the parcel until it has been signed for at our Head Office. A Collect Plus label can be purchased through the returns section of our website, this standardises the price to £4.49. This covers up to 10kg of returns and is useful for multiple purchases or heavier items. Your feedback will be passed on to the team and if you have any enquiries, please do not hesitate to contact us and we hope this does not deter you from shopping with us in the future. The packaging was poor, the shoe box was damaged and the film which covered the shoes had clearly been used before, sad for an Xmas present to my partner, it made a nice pair of boots look a bit secondhand.

Bought a pair of dressy shoes from you as part of my wifes Christmas present, I was disappointed to find a very battered shoe box and creased wrappings when I opened the parcel from you. The shoes seemed not to have been used to my inexpert eye but if I wrap the shoe box up as I planned it will be disappointing on Christmas morning. I expected a more professional service from Charles Clinkard.

When we do not have an item left in our warehouse, as we have several stores around the country, we may ask for a pair to come back to us to fulfil an order, this has happened on this occasion, so your shoe may have been tried on in store. Thank you for your review. We do stock shoes from many Countries and this year we have been disappointed that there are some delays in getting new deliveries. I take a larger size ladies shoe (uk 9) and have bought many pairs from Charles Clinkard as they have a great selection available. It's generally fine but recently I've found they sometimes list a size 8 as a size 9. It even says size 8 on the boxes. This is really frustrating as I just end up sending them back. There's no problem getting a refund but I'm still out of pocket for the postage as it's not free. Please stop listing 8's as 9's! And note an EU42 isn't really a 9!

Thank you for your review. We go with the Companies guidelines as to the size so we are sorry to hear that you have had something that you find is not correct. An EU 40 is a ladies 7, 41 is an 8 and 42 should be a 9. However this is a guideline and some manufacturers do vary slightly. The boots were lovely but the toes were scuffed. Not badly, but these boots weren't cheap I phoned and got a returns label and an agreement that a new pair in my size would be put to one side for me. They weren't. Sold out. So, lovely boots just not a great experience.

I wanted to be sure my purchase was leather, no one was sure, one member of staff knew it was coated leather but wasn’t in store at time I arrived to collect order. This resulted in me requesting a refund which was processed. The staff member came back as I was about to leave. I had another pair ordered which were too small. I therefore had two refunds totalling £270. When confirmed boots were leather I purchased them. The youngest member of staff dealt with me, a pleasant and patient girl.

Ordered online to be delivered to my home paid £5.99 for the privilege of home delivery .recorded instructions were to be left with DPD to have them take to a chemist where its difficult to park .delivery not good at all won't use this service again .

Product was good but didn't fit so had to return. Delivery took quite a few days and return of boots was very expensive. The majority if companies now offer free returns

Thank you for your review. We do deliver free of charge and ask customers to cover the cost of returns. If an exchange is needed we will again pay the postage to you. If you have a Charles Clinkard store near to you, then you can pop your order into store and they will arrange a refund for you. We are pleased to hear you were happy with the items however it is disappointing that they were not suitable. With regards to returns, we offer free standard UK delivery over £40 which are dispatched within 5 working days, however do ask customers to pay towards the cost of the return. This is included on our terms when placing the order. You can of course return to a store if one is near to you however there are cost efficient ways of sending back your order. Although we do recommend a tracked service, there are different levels of service and cover you can choose at the Post Office when returning. You can return via Collectplus which is £4.49 for up to 10KG and is ideal for larger items or multiple orders, the link to this option can be found in the returns section of our website. Shoes arrived on time in good condition but the wrong colour I decided to keep them but would suggest you take greater care or are your staff colourblind

Steffi59 Josef Seibel shoes , size 7, (41) not in stock at shop in the Mall Cribbs Causeway. Was told they could be delivered free. Received size 6.5 (40). Called regarding return. No free postage. Had to travel for an hour to return. Shop said they did not have 41. Found Shuperb on line they delivered and for £1 extra allowed free returns. Disappointed with Charles Cliknkard for ordering wrong size and costing me half a day traveling to and from shop to return.
