I was really disappointed to find out that you have to pay for returns. I would not be buying from here again. A majority of places now provide free returns or click & collect, offering customers good customer service. This has left me with a very poor customer experience.

Hello, Thankyou for your review We offer free standard delivery within the UK with no minimum spend however do ask for returns costs to be covered. You can return via the following methods: Postal Returns Pack up the shoes carefully in their original box and a secure outer wrapper where possible. Please send them back clearly addressed to: Customer Services Charles Clinkard Eveline House Cannon Park Way Middlesbrough TS1 5JU You can also use a service called Collectplus which is £4.49 and covers up to 10KG in weight, ideal for multiple items and larger orders. Clear communications but but the processe was somewhat slow compared to most online delivery’s these days

Hello, Thankyou for your review. Our standard delivery is dispatched within 2-5 working days and is free of charge with no minimum spend. On checking your order we dispatched this on the third working day and this arrived safely a couple of days later. We are very sorry to hear you found our delivery process slower than other companies, we do dispatch items as quick as possible however if the products are not available in the warehouse then this can add a number of days as we bring in the stock required. We do offer faster deliveries such as Next Day which is £5.99 and dispatches the order the same day with delivery on the Next Working Day, as longas palced before 5pm Monday to Friday. I got the boots I had my eye on for a couple of months at a reduced price. However it was obvious that one of the boots had been on the shop floor.

At the end of checkout, a pop up alerted me the transaction had not been successful. The page showing, recommended I could pay with two other alternatives methods. I closed the browser, and forgot about it - until I received an email days later saying that my item had been dispatched! Thank heavens I hadn’t ordered elsewhere. My item arrived in good condition, but weren’t a good fit. I chose to return and shop again, rather than use the returns process which would have taken longer. I wasn’t happy to realise that returns weren’t free. My second order, in a wider size of the same shoe arrived yesterday, and fit well.

Our next day delivery cut off is 5pm, as your order was placed after the 5pm cut off, it should have been dispatched the next working day on an overnight service. I was disappointed to find out that the return label to use Collect+ was not included in the box and that it would cost me £4.49 to download one. The alternative was to drive nearly 20 miles to my nearest store or send by post. I have purchased many boots from CC but have recently had a foot operation and neither of the boots purchased were able to be worn. I may not use this service again.

We offer a Next Day Delivery for £5.99 and this guarantees delivery on the Next Working day as long as the order is placed before 5pm Monday through to Friday. Happy to have lovely Gabor Nadine boots bought online, but not happy at all with customer service on two different occasions with same sales person in Stratford upon Avon branch. On both occasions could have been put off trying to find specific style and size but fortunately I persevered without her help.

I ordered a pair of boots for my daughter. Unfortunately my address was incorrect on the parcel and the courier could not deliver straight away. I had signed up with the courier for delivery notification so they were able to contact me via email and ask that I get in touch with them. The incorrect address caused a 3 day delay. When the boots arrived they were beautiful, my daughter loves them and says they're nery comfortable. I was worried because she has a wide fit foot but they fit perfectly. I would have given a 5 star but the wrong address was a big mistake

Happy?....well, the customer service team were first class handling my problem. Thank you. Furious, though, to discover it cost £8.60 to return boots. The distance to a click-and-collect shop is not an option. I do almost all shopping online and CC is the only business charging for returns. This totally puts me off, so I’ll be shopping in future for footwear with my other usual retailers.

Very pleased with customer service and quality of shoes but the ones from Josef Seibel were smaller than the standard size 6 I usually order from other shoe manufacturers. As I don't have a printer, it was impossible to return the shoes by courier, as recommended. The nearest store is miles away so not convenient, so had to return by Royal Mail special "signed for" delivery. Will not be ordering more shoes on- line from Charles Clinkard.

You can of course return to a store if one is near to you however there are cost efficient ways of sending back your order. The Post Office has various services and charges depending on what you request and you can also use Collectplus which is £4.49 for up to 10kG in weight and ideal for larger items or multiple orders. The product was great and delivery fast. But, I was surprised to open the box to find the boots simply chucked in with no packaging at all! Not even slightly wrapped in paper. The shoes had obviously been tried on, and one of the bits of moulded paper that should have been in the tow of the boot was just lying randomly in the box! As a first time customer - I thought this was really poor.
