The boots arrived in good time but I was really disappointed at the fabric, it didn't seem that it would work if wet & rainy and seemed to look cheap. The boots also only came mid calf so I decided to return them...thus is where I was really disappointed...I had to pay £9 postage to return them, no options to take to local store where they have courier service etc. I will only ever order from John Lewis in future as I can drop returns onto local waitrose.

Hello Thank you for your review. I’m sorry to hear the look of the boot did not seem to meet your expectations. We do have many different methods of returning your order to us. You can return your order to any of our stores for free. You can purchase a collect plus label from our website for £4.50 or you can also use Royal Mail, second class tracked service is a very popular option and this can start from as little as £3.30 Kind regards Michael

Very little stock in store hence having to order on line. The website says postage is free but this is only half true because postage is free for delivery but we have to pay returns. This is based on the cost of the shoes and therefore cost me £8.95 because I needed a larger half size. I will be very reluctant to purchase from them again.

Thank you for your review. I am sorry to hear that the shoes did not fit. We do deliver free of charge and if an exchange is needed we again cover the postage for the replacement item to the customer. We do ask the customer to cover the cost of returns if posting back to us. You can take returns back to a Charles Clinkard store and you have up to one year to do this so long as the item is unworn. You do have a Charles Clinkard store not too far from you. They can arrange the refund or an exchange if needed. I hope that this helps if you do order in future. Have ordered quite a few times from you before and have had no bother at all, but this time I don't know why it would not allow me to have a home delivery and the shop it was being sent too was a car ride away and not that near, I was given a delivery date of the 21st which was then cancelled and then another date of the 28th which I didn't receive the code for till the next day so this time I'm not satisfied

I am sorry that you were not able to choose your own address for delivery, it appears that you have chosen click and collect in error and you have had to choose a DPD pick up shop. These are lovely slippers. However I ordered a size 5 and my big toe is right at the end with no room. I therefore feel I have to return them. :-( I have ordered from Charles Clinkard before so do like the company, and would order from them again. Have just been unfortunate on this occasion. I ordered these through Amazon.

So disappointed. These shoes having purchased same design before have changed. It has been such a worry returning them. The Post Office wanted over £8. Was so shocked.

Did not send correct boots when ordered online, sent cheaper sued boots. Had to take them back to local store in Stockton on Tees (Teesside Park). They gave me a refund and reordered the original boots that were requested which we received by post today. I must say the store staff were very good and helpfull.

I ordered 2 pairs of boots. The reason was I had eventually found the specific pair I was looking for and the second pair were too good to turn down in the sale. Unfortunately the specific boots I wanted were not the ones delivered. I was extremely dissapointed. I had to make three attempts to contact them to arrange the return of the boots. I was offered a refund but what I really wanted was my specific boots.

After investigating, I can see the image on our website is slightly different to the stock we have available (brown stitching instead of the advertised red). Massively let down by DPD, which took over a week more to deliver my order. Numerous emails from DPD say oops something unexpected happened and 2 calls to CC customer services…change delivery firm please!!!!

Boots too narrow..returned was shocked at having to pay return.I am a pensioner and cost me £11.15 to return with tracking.at these times more than i could afford..unable to travel to Newcastle to return as I have a sick husband.wont be ordering again from you and will put this on social media so people dont get caught out.

I ordered boots from your website, information re delivery was misleading and took 6 days, which was not within 5 days or over 7 and not what your emails led me to believe. However, the staff in your Warwick Store were amazing, always friendly and helpful and I would shop with them again. I would give your staff 5 stars.

Thank you for your review. Our free delivery service is a dispatch within 5 working days, this means that you should have the order within 6 working days. On occasion if our warehouse has sold out, we recall an item from one of our stores and this is why sometimes an order may take a little longer as it comes to us first for inspection. I had to return the parcel today's I got the wrong color in confusion of what was shown online. Hopefully will get my corrected color show back again soon. Process of return wasn't simple though.

Website was good. Order came quickly. However, and it’s a big issue for me, you don’t do free returns. With two large boxes of boots (5 pairs) it will cost me a fortune to get these back to you by recorded delivery so will need to do a 40 mile round trip to your closest store at some point in the next month so that I can return for ‘free’. Shan’t be ordering from you again unless it’s something I know for sure will fit me.

Thank you for your review. We do deliver free of charge, but ask customers to cover the cost of returns. On our website there is a link to Collect + where for £4.49, you can send back up to 10 kilos. This would allow you to send several pair of shoes back at the same time. You are emailed a label and can print it out to attach to your package and take to your nearest Collect + point. This may be something that may help. Alternatively, you can wait and take back to store, you have up to one year to return so long as unworn. Kind regards, Janice - customer services

My boots were advertised as wide fit, but unfortunately they are most definitely not! Such a shame as I would love to wear them

Thank you for your review and sharing your findings with regard to the fitting of these lovely boots which will help others when they are looking for something for themselves. You may find that if you buy the next size up, this will increase the area within the boot and feel much more comfortable especially if you would like to wear socks. The service in the shop has always been very good and I have always been very happy with quality of purchases. I recently ordered some boots online however, to be delivered to the shop in Newcastle and only found out after querying by email that they’d been waiting in the shop for me. I had no notification they’d arrived.

Order arrived on time but engraving was incorrect. I had difficulty co tacti g them, but when I did they were very quick in saying they would send a replacement item. However, I did not receive an apology.
