MHL Charity is looking for a Trustee with special responsibility for fundraising. Stuart Thompson has been allocated as my account manager and, to date, he has been absolutely excellent. He has responded to all my requests for help, engaged with me in a relational way and all of this for free! Thank you CharityJob - it is very much appreciated.

We only got 2 applicants, and these only came through once we switched to allow applications through the Charity Job website directly (we ideally wanted them to come via our website).

I understand Jules Keene, your assigned CharityJob Account Manager has unsuccessfully tried to contact you via telephone on several occasions to discuss your review further with you, so has now made contact via email instead. Whilst we understand your frustration at not receiving the quantity of applications you’d hoped for, sadly, this is something more recruiters on all job boards across all sectors are seeing due to the current job market, so it is increasingly important to post your vacancy on a job package which gives it maximum visibility and prominence on our website. I have been informed whilst your ad generated 515 views and 16 clicks on apply on our Basic job package, Jules has advised you on the benefits of using our Enhanced job package compared to our Basic, which historically you have used, and which have previously worked well for you for similar roles. Sam was extremely helpful in guiding us through the process of posting a new job advert. He gave proactive advice on best tariff for our purposes together with suggested improvements to wording and format to help to achieve the best results.

I believe Chris did advise you of the very difficult job market at present, which is affecting not just CharityJob, but all recruitment across all sectors. The user experience of the site is good. The value for money is poor - we've had zero applicants! A linked in posting was offered but required extra cost.

Considering the blurb stating the advert would be sent out with a possible reach of 73,000 plus relevant candidates - for the money it is appalling and the premium service is anything but.

We only had three applicants compared to almost 100 in the same period on Indeed, and all of them lived very far away and were unsuitable and didn't even seem to have charity experience

Dear Miriam, Thank you for taking the time to leave us feedback. It is very disappointing to hear that you did not receive the number of relevant candidates you were hoping for. I’m sure you will appreciate Indeed is a very generalist job board and so, if possible, it would be good if your Account Manager, Jules Keene could schedule a phone call with you to discuss the quality of these applications. I understand Jules has already reached out to you to advise you can extend the ad for free up until the 26th January as your ad was only live for just over 2 weeks compared to the normal 30 days and offered advice on how to best optimise the ad performance should you wish to do this, but I understand you have now successfully filled the position. Should you decide to advertise with CharityJob again, please reach out to Jules first before posting your ad to ensure the best possible advice is received. Despite some technical issues that created hours of additional work and frustration for me when setting up the first role, Sam was very helpful, patient and attentive. He was there when needed and we resolved the issues with IT support. Will come back and update on how the recruitment process goes from here. Thanks Sam.

You contacted us seeking a Quran teaching job and was advised CharityJob is a self-posting job board and does not act as a recruitment agency and is not involved in the recruitment process, so your job search would need to be self-driven. You were given clear instructions on how to search and apply to both paid and volunteering opportunities advertised on our website and on how to set up relevant job email alerts to ensure you were notified of new jobs posted which matched your alert criteria. Jules from Customer Service is prompt and helpful in all my requests. Even helped me get a better rate by adjusting my purchases into bulk discounts, even if the purchase has already been made. Really helpful and great service!
