“With the need to find a suitable water siphon for a larger than normal down pipe, Celtic Sustainables’s 3P water collector proved ideal. A professional bit of kit, well packaged with full instructions. Great design and a suitable match with our new 200 litre water butt for rainwater saving. Note that the outlet hose is short but wider than the tap hole fitment on the side of our water butt. But as it was supplied with a 32mm hole cutter, they had even thought of that. Super efficiency in water capture which goes from fully open to fully closed by a 180 degree turntable filtering insert. Shortly after fitting and a day of rain, the tank was completely full in less than 4 hours. Proof of overflow prevention was then possible, with a huge volume of water down the drainpipe easily automatically diverting around the ingenious filter insert without back flow either through the outlet or top or bottom of the unit. The unit is quite large ( it fitted snugly around our 88mm down pipe with the pipe fitted to the wall with the correct pipe stand-off clip), and the outlet tube is quite stiff to fit to the outlet adaptors and to bend to meet our water container around our 90 degree wall mount if it, but surreptitiously using hot water off the boil and a small amount of washing up liquid easily allowed bending it to shape as well as fitting the adaptors at each end. The kit also comes with a steel circlip to retain the outlet pipe into the large smooth plastic outlet fitment which in turn mounts on the outlet side of the device. I advise this is fitted loosely into the outlet pipe before applying either fitment on the end of it. I would also recommend purchasing additional downpiipe wall clips, for directly above and below the 3P device when fitted to the pipe, which gives the entire arrangement a very sturdy mounting.”
