“Ordered a stylish chrome desk lamp - was sent out quickly and pleased with what I ordered - what I didn't expect was a wrestle and fight to get the thing out of the stupid packaging or the blizzard of polystyrene which broke up into a million pieces - which I am still clearing up now! Why do manufacturers still use this non-recyclable, polluting material for packaging! It should be banned! Made for a horrible experience!”

“The website would not accept my payment (which may well not have their fault), so I emailed the company to say so - after hours. They emailed straight back to apologise and said they would ring me on the Monday morning to take my order. They rang, took the order, and delivered it on the specified day. The service was excellent, the product is excellent; I would use them again, any time. Enough said!”
“The product I ordered was fulfilled on time but upon opening the David Hunt Lighting Wall light fitment that I ordered, a nylon globe fixing screw was missing. I called Castlegatelights and they asked me to send them an email to confirm and they then arranged for the screw to be sent to me directly by David Hunt Lighting. Happy Bunny!”
“They had the product I wanted at the best price. They use DPD, my preferred delivery company. Slight problems with the website being unresponsive and me getting through to an anonymous voicemail when I called their phone number (It was a Saturday afternoon though) so I initially thought our relationship would end there and I'd go elsewhere but they must've registered a missed call (I hadn't left a message) and called me back. We resolved the problem and placed the order and it was delivered exactly as promised. They say you can tell how a company really is with how they deal with things that go wrong and Castlegate Lights really did offer a five-star service even though my total experience on this occasion was only four-star. I definitely recommend them based on my first experience with them.”
“Bought two and then another one, certainly look good. Vey well wrapped and packaged, in bubble wrap in a box and then in another box. Something about the bubble wrap seems to leave a bubble pattern on the glass of the globe but careful washing in the bath with soapy water removed it (so I am told). Bought the suggested bulbs too, they look good but are not dimmable (we knew this when buying). As we have a dimmer switch on two of the lights we will try a similar bulb which is dimmable.”

“Not yet installed, but fittings cast metal outer casing, not just flimsy folded thin metal. When ordering fittings it was clear lamps not included, but didn't realise GX53 lamps not common to buy in local shops or Wickes /B&Q etc. Purchased lamps on line elsewhere, prices ranged between ?4 & ?14 each ! Planning to use in right angle of beams and down stand to light sloping ceiling. Delivered on time, overall very please, hope even more so when I've seen it fitted.”
