“We required new Christmas lights after our current lights failed over the holiday period. After Christmas we looked online and saw exactly what we wanted advertised by Castlegatelights. We ordered and received them within days without any fuss at quite a good price compared with other suppliers. I hope they work and look as good as they say on the outside of the box, unfortunately we won't know this until next December when we come to put them up but I have high expectations.”
“They handled the problem well. Quoizel Chantliiy light with Opal Glass bowl was supplied - but the glass bowl was damaged (it looked like shoddy drill-work where made, in China - it had still been packed and shipped); there was a quality control failure somewhere in the supply chain. I had signed on delivery after checking the glass bowl was in 1 piece - it was , and all very well wrapped; only later on closer inspection were the faults/damage obvious. I emailed immediately with photographic evidence, then rang the Castlegate people who immediately checked the photos, agreed the problem, and contacted the suppliers to arrange a replacement (and emailed me to confirm) which arrived within 48 hours (but without notice of the delivery date). Full marks for no fuss, efficient, customer service - but where was the initial quality control?”
“They had the product I wanted at the best price. They use DPD, my preferred delivery company. Slight problems with the website being unresponsive and me getting through to an anonymous voicemail when I called their phone number (It was a Saturday afternoon though) so I initially thought our relationship would end there and I'd go elsewhere but they must've registered a missed call (I hadn't left a message) and called me back. We resolved the problem and placed the order and it was delivered exactly as promised. They say you can tell how a company really is with how they deal with things that go wrong and Castlegate Lights really did offer a five-star service even though my total experience on this occasion was only four-star. I definitely recommend them based on my first experience with them.”
“Not yet installed, but fittings cast metal outer casing, not just flimsy folded thin metal. When ordering fittings it was clear lamps not included, but didn't realise GX53 lamps not common to buy in local shops or Wickes /B&Q etc. Purchased lamps on line elsewhere, prices ranged between ?4 & ?14 each ! Planning to use in right angle of beams and down stand to light sloping ceiling. Delivered on time, overall very please, hope even more so when I've seen it fitted.”

“Ordered a new candle bridge. Confirmation of order came through with estimated delivery date then I got a later email which gave me a one hour time slot for that delivery. Parcel arrived within first quarter hour of that slot. Only negative - I wanted 2 candle bridges but they only had one in stock. They haven't told me when they might get some more in.”
