“Delivery was faster than estimated, so that was great. However the light fitting from Elstead lighting (hinkley Plymouth range) had obviously not been inspected prior to dispatch. This is a chandelier style fitting with eight lights and faily expensive. On inspection all the lights and the central spindle were out of alignment, and loosely fitted. Further investigation revealed the locking nut deep within the spindle construction had not been done up at all. We had to dismantle and reassemble the fititng, and even after that we are having to bend the central spindle rod and lamp arms by hand to get them upright. We should have returned it, but had booked scaffold for a day to put it up in our double height hallway.”

Elstead lighting Alton product did have some damage to the wall mounting bracket, bent at one edge, the finish between the light arm and round wall mount could have been neater and there was a nick of damage in side of round wall mount. Instructions could have been clearer regarding fitting and adjusting to wall and there were excessive left over parts. However they look goo don wall and do as intended.”
