“Not the best of experiences. Ordered the right item but was sent the wrong item. Replacement item dispatched and now the clips that hold it in place were wrong. Had to request new clips. The clips that hold it in place do not work well and the shades fall out regularly. Expensive for what they are especially as they dont work that well.”

“Product OK but a big delay in the shipment to EU countries. Ordered the 22nd of June and still in transit on the 16th of July.”

“I don’t feel the Golf Mk5 shades fit anywhere near as well as ones I’ve had for previous vehicles from yourselves. But they do the job and are well made.”

“Purchased the full rear set for my S class Mercedes-Benz. The rear window was a perfect fit but the two side window shades absolutely do not fit the window nor do the clips supplied. Disappointing.”

“The shades are of good quality, however they do not quite 'fit like a glove'! It would be sensible to supply more of the clips for fitting the shades (they can't be expensive!) so that if dropped, they can easily be lost OR as happened in my case lost completely and now I am unable to use one shade due to a passenger accidentally knocking it off on leaving the car and the clips could not be found! It's these small details that can make a difference, hence my three star rating.”

“Pleased with the product and delivery was very fast. Only two things. They don't work with a rear reversing camera, maybe wouldst work with a rear dashcam either, and they don't answer the phone when i tried to contact them?”

Hi Michelle - thanks for your feedback. When we manufacture tailgate Car shades they are usually on windows that do not include a rear dashcam therefore unfortunately any dashcams in a vehicle would cause a slight issue. “As a previous purchaser again I would give the product 10/10, however I am extremely disappointed with the delivery of the products by the courier service that Carshades have used. I am in Ireland and last time I had my order within 7-10 days.. this time i was hit with a €27.90 customs charge (thanks Brexit) and it took a ridiculous 4 weeks with a journey via Germany ?? instead of direct Uk to Ireland.. I understand customs charges are out of Carshades hands but they still should make it clearer to the customer during the checkout process of the charges and delivery times (4+ weeks) with their current couriers.”

We have taken your comments on board and are reviewing how the information is displayed, however unfortunately as yet there is no consistency from different countries when charges are applied making it difficult to provide accurate customer information. However, we'll of course update our information accordingly as things progress and we get clarity. Thank you again for your comments.

“Hi got them on the Tuesday which was good and fast as I ordered them on the Sunday which was good but when going to put them on they a bit to big as they don’t quite fit and then the clips to hold it keep on coming of so that needs sorting out if that is would be good and then they would be Worth the money 💰 but as it they are not at the moment because for 86.00 + that is a lot thanks nigel”

“I am a returning customer. So the product is general is brilliant, look good, fit well, and do the job. However, the first order was all metal clips which work very well indeed. Unfortunately the next two kits I just bought use these flimsy self adhesive plastic tabs to attach them with which are completely useless. I cleaned down the metal with the supplied wipe and stuck them to dry metal - with only about 50% of them actually sticking properly. I ended up having to use an industrial adhesive to get them to stick on properly. Especially the Suzuki swift kit holding the boot windows in, which takes a lot of pressure every time the bootlids slammed shut - completely not up to the job. So afraid my review reflects this, great product, but letdown by poor fittings on certain models.”

“They're excellent material and looks. but the side shades were a bit bigger than the windows and had to use duck tape to hold in place which made everything look a little bit.... But i use them and still recommend them to friends coz they're really good. Thanks”

“The shape and price are good. The clips are fairly rubbish and on the first day of using them I opened the window and whilst driving at 20mph the shade fell out the window (on a one way system, in a town centre). I had another 15 minutes of retracing my steps and trying to rescue it. I’d probably still buy them again but don’t think you can have the windows open unless you’re stationary.”

“Really great business idea, but sadly the information on the website was incorrect so I ended up purchasing shades that did not fit my car which was extremely disappointing. They did offer me a full refund, or to drive to them so they could use my car as a template to make the correct fitting shades, however I am not local to them and the COVID-19 pandemic was restricting. I couriered the shades back to them as they had promised my refund upon receipt of the returned shades, as well as to refund my postage costs, however I had to chase for the refund and there was no mention of them covering the return postage costs unfortunately. Overall it was a disappointing experience!”

“These were ordered to fit my specific model of car unfortunately we have not been able to fix them. When we have put them up they fall down if window opened. Etc. We contacted company n got extra clips but these didn't work either! Very disappointed and unfortunately too late to return as didn't try to fit them straight away”
