“My first budget mats from Car Mats developed big holes on the driving side after low mileage driving. Was offered a credit on better quality mats which I have just fitted today. Will be interesting to see how long they last but hopefully will be much longer than before!”

“I’ve had these in my car for around a week, can already see the wear on which isn’t great. They are a really good fit and stay in place. From the pictures I assumed the mats would also be on the resting foot part but this wasn’t the case.”

“The actual mats I bought for my new Peugeot 208 are fantastic - perfect fit and lovely quality. However they took a month to arrive, which was very frustrating when I was expecting a much shorter timescale. Within a day of ordering I received a 'your order has entered production' email then 4 days later another email to say my mats were nearly finished. Then it went very quiet... 2 weeks later I decided to contact the company to see where my mats had got to. I received an abrupt email back to say my mats were a pre-order and delivery was due to take a month. They claimed my mats had entered production that day, which rather contradicted the email from 3+ weeks earlier saying the same thing. Having checked all my previous correspondence, nowhere did it state that my order was a pre-order and was due to take a month. Not sure what was going on behind the scenes, but would rather company had been honest about delays, instead of stroppy and trying to cover up errors. In conclusion, the mats were certainly worth 5 stars, but lengthy delivery and inconsistent messages from company have caused me to deduct 2 stars.”

“Bought full set of rubber interior mats and a boot mat. Rear car mats are smaller than the OE carpets Mats. Front mats spot on. Boot floor mat is not exactly correct but near enough. Perhaps a revisit of the pattern and the car is required.”

“Good: the car mats all fit perfectly Bad: 1. 'Thin' carpet - I payed extra to get the middle level of plushness ("Quality = Super") - these are a very 'thin' carpet and not as good quality as the Jaguar originals that I tested with a 20p piece to match the photos on the website. 2. I wasn't going to write a review as, to be honest, the carpets meet my needs (smartening up a car for sale, but I kept getting spammed by requests for a review that had two choices - "I love my car mats (the option that I chose) and e-mail for support.”

Our Super mats have a tight pile that is hard to push a 20p into, these are extremely hardwearing mats though. Jaguar OEM quality mats would be similar to Executive, the next level up. “The mats are ok for the price, the stitching a wonky in some areas and can be seen because I chose white edges. Also the cushion on the drivers side isn’t central. If you want cheap mats to see you through, amazing value. However I think I’ll be ordering my next ones from BMW. Thank you for the quick service and delivery though. That part is second to none!”

“Tried to email several times after purchasing premium mats and not receiving fixing lugs. Emails bounce back. There is no phone number. I paid over £100…. I’m not impressed Following my poor review I had a response and the company are now supplying fitting plugs.”

Hi Martin Thank you for your email & for leaving a review. I'm sorry that you didn't receive a response, as discussed you were emailing catmats.co.uk rather than carmats.co.uk. I think cat mats sounds like a great idea, I know our cats would love them! The fixings you require are the floor fixings that would normally be in the vehicle and connect to the fixings in our mats. We don't normally supply these & they retail for £10 but we've sent a set out free of charge.

“Nice tidy mats, edged well and fit well on the Daughters car, but a tad on the thin side for the price, maybe ive been spoilt over the years having new free mats from the manufacturer when buying new cars. Would buy again but probably go for the slightly thicker matt after weighing up the extra cost if i cant get genuine OEM mats for a reasonable price.”

“Order placed on 26/03/24 - Full set of rubber mats for a Mini Cooper. Received an email on 02/04/24 to say the mats were in the finishing room. Received another email on 09/04/24 'thanking me for my patience' - but there's a problem with order. No further details, just generic platitudes. Finally dispatched on 11/04/24. Part of the order (the Boot Mat) arrived on 14/04/24, from Evri, despite the email saying the full order had been dispatched. I queried this and received a reply on 15/04/24 - the order was in 2 parts, should receive the rest later today, "Please let us know if this hasn't arrived in a few days time." The rest of the order DID finally arrive on 15/04/24. No fixings supplied - normally probably not needed, but I'm struggling with a knee injury and it's noticeable on the Front Driver's Mat which creeps up around the accelerator, with my less-than-graceful entry and exit from the car. Would have appreciated better communication - my order was in the finishing room for a full week? What happened? All I got was a generic email 'thanking me for my patience' - a little more detail and a little less generic, would have, personally, gone a long way. When the order was dispatched, I was told it was the full order. Having paid £80, receiving only generic emails and waiting almost 3 weeks, I wasn't exactly impressed when only the Boot Mat arrived (especially given the size of the Mini's boot). Again, if the email stated that the order was dispatched in 2 parts, I might have been expecting that. There is an obvious imperfection running the full length of the Front Passenger Mat (see photo), which is disappointing. The mats do look the part (apart from the imperfection) and I have received comments, but it is difficult to give recommendations.”
