“Canada Travel Specialists always came back to me with answers to my questions and we were able to tailor our itinerary to suit our needs and our budget. The only gripe I would have is that they charge £1 fee to pay for the holiday! Is that really necessary? It's not the amount but the principal of being charged a fee to pay for something which I object to.”

“The advisor was very friendly and polite and provided a holiday itinerary quickly based on the discussion of my requirements. However the itinerary was provided before availability was confirmed and consequently not all the itinerary was available. Alternatives was not offered immediately, only when prompted. I think my rating would have been higher had the advisor taken more of the initiative. To be fair this may have been difficult given that my booking was not done face to face and communication was via e-mail and telephone.”

“The beginning of our holiday was spoilt by your employee booking us to a cheap room overlooking a car park at the Rimrock Resort, having booked gold leaf on the. Rocky mountaineer and a balcony cabin on the cruise totalling over £6000 I am sure he should have known what kind of room we required, we ended up paying $200 plus tax to upgrade. But it caused us a lot of hassle and upset after a long flight on what was a special holiday for us”

“Everything organised via telephone contact with Michelle at Barr Head Travel. No problems and everything was catered to our requirements. The best holiday of my life. The Jasper hotel was very poor for food and could not accommodate us. We were directed to another hotel that was much like a cafeteria . The Rocky Mountaineer was faultless as was the hotels in Banff and Vancouver. Pacific Princess was a bit shabby and there were one or two issues surrounding this ship. However, none of these things stopped us from thoroughly enjoying our time in Canada. We would definitely consider going again”

“We booked the holiday to Canada and Alaska in Sept 2013 to go in Sept 2014. It was on my husband's bucket list but when we checked the dates of the last Alaskan cruise, our dates couldn't match, so Barrhead Travel arranged a tailor-made one for us with the whole holiday reversed. What a wonderful time!! The whole holiday (flight to Vancouver, a week's cruise to Alaska, 3 days Vancouver, trip on the Rocky Mountaineer train and then back to Banff for 3 days) was everything we expected and more besides. It certainly was the holiday of a lifetime with service at every stage out of this world. I can't praise the travel companies highly enough and would (and have!) recommend them strongly.”

“We used Barrhead Travel to arrange a family (4 Adults) holiday of a lifetime to Canada in July this year. Initially only for 7 days but extended it to 12. Craig and staff were brilliant, each time we had a change of plan or a question they replied promptly and made sure the holiday covered all our dreams, We requested to pay and arrange all the pick ups and transfers to hotels and airports for which they organised vouchers and all contacts for us. All documentation and arrangements were superb. Definitely would use them again and would recommend them to our friends.”

“My wife and I could not fault either the company or their staff - professional in all aspects of our "dream" Canada holiday!! From start to finish they took what we wanted and made it happen - they fitted hotels and transport around us and nothing was too much trouble - excellent in every aspect.”

“Dear Craig, The one thing that let the holiday down was the flight home. I was on row 25E and my husband Ray was on row 45E . As I am a nervous flyer it was not a good flight home. The check in lady said that no we were not seated together and "as the flight was fully booked we would have to get on with it". Can you not make sure that clients are seated together on flights. Let's face it who wants to sit beside a stranger on an overnight flight when you have a husband partner travelling with you. This was the only thing which spoiled the holiday and which 4 months later still leaves a bad memory. Yours Pat Clarke.”
