“We had the best holiday, Adla was great from booking all the way through. We did a lot of travelling and all transport arrangements were excellent. Rocky Mountaineer was a lovely experience. We loved all the experiences Jasper, Banff, Wild Life trip, Icefields, Calgary Stampede, everything was amazing and so enjoyable and well organised. Highly recommend!”

“We spoke with Adla Toal when looking to book an Alaskan trip. She is very knowledgeable and helpful having visited the area with first hand experience. Talked us through many options available and confirmed details very efficiently. Would have no hesitation in recommending both speaking with Adla and Canada Travel Speciialists if looking for such a trip.”

“Adla listened to our ideas and put together an amazing 5 week land and cruise trip for us - Vancouver , Yukon, Alaska, Rockies and Calgary Stampede. Every question and tweak was dealt with speedily, efficiently and patiently - we asked a lot! This was the first trip we haven’t organised by ourselves but will definitely be using Adla and Barrhead Travel again.”

“The booking process was excellent and we are very much looking forward to our trip to Canada in August 2025. Our travel consultant Brian Walker has been great in organising our full itinerary, giving us plenty of options and sharing his knowledge of the area. “We have used Barrhead for the last 8 years . We have alway booked through them with Adla, she is so helpful and knowledgeable we have personally met her while on a tour of Scotland although we live in Southampton and she works in Glasgow lovely to put a face to a voice. We have booked holidays all around the world not just Canada. Adla seems to find the best of everything at a fantastic price. We have just booked a holiday to Vietnam/Cambodia .Cant say how reassuring it is booking with professionals...We recommend Barrhead and a top class travel agent Adla...”

“Excellent customer service, very personal and always reassuring and there with answers to all my questions. Anne put together a package after listening to my wish list, re-adjusted as requested, nothing was too much for her. When there were fires in Jasper, Anne reorganised that part of our trip to perfection. Sorting a change of destination from the Rocky Mountaineer and transfers in place of car hire which worked brilliantly. This was the most amazing holiday. We took so many photos and yet they do not convey the vastness of the constant vistas across Western Canada and Alaska - fantastic! I would thoroughly recommend Anne Macaldowie. We will be calling her when we plan our next holiday.”

“Just returned from a great holiday with the itinery organised by Michelle. Vancouver, Victoria, Knight Inlet, Whistler, Sun Peaks, Revelstoke, Banff, Calgary. Sadly, due to the wildfires at Jasper last minute changes were required to the route, but this was fixed quickly and efficiently, similarly with amendments to ferry crossings. Hotels were booked conveniently for car hire offices, sea tour departures and town centres in various locations. All ticket confirmations, ferry crossings, seaplane departures and car hire went through smoothly with no issues. There were many highlights, but Knight Inlet really is amazing, grizzlies, black bear, humpback whales and killer whales spotted at various points (for maximum bear viewing September is the time). The staff there are so knowledgeable and good natured. At Banff, we were so lucky to be able to go up the Icefield Parkway to the glacier on the first day it reopened. This is the first time I've used Canada Travel Specialists and I can say they really know their stuff about the locations and logistics. We hope the people of Jasper can rebuild the town and look forward to including that in another trip in the years to come. Thanks again Michelle.”

She provided an excellent service guiding us from planning through to booking a 7day cruise to Alaska followed by a trip on the Rocky mountaineer train. “Craig McAllister from Barrhead Travel booked our trip of a lifetime to Canada. From or first email with Craig until our last, he was amazing, every question was answered by return. The itinerary he put together was faultless. Everything was beautifully organised, we never once felt nervous about any part of our trip. Craig picked all the best things for us to see, we really had an incredible time and fantastic memories made. I would highly recommend Craig and Barrhead Travel.”

“We have used Adla as our agent for quite a few Celebrity cruises. She is always very friendly but also very informative and very professional in her dealings. She responds immediately and willingly communicates with Celebrity direct on our behalf which is an excellent service to avoid long call queues for us. I would very strongly recommend Barrhead Travel and Adla as the Celebrity Cruise specialist.”

“Happy to recommend Canada Travel Specialists and their travel consultant, Brian Walker following our recent holiday to Canada. This is the second time that we have used Brian and can not fault his level of service and knowledge of holidaying in Canada. On both occasions our holidays have entailed staying in 3 different locations and transfers organised by Canada Travel / Brian have been seamless with no issues. Hotels recommended have been of a high standard and in excellent locations. On this particular holiday we also wanted our daughters to join us midway through the holiday, which Brian was able to facilitate as part of the booking. Making the overall booking process very easy from our side. In summary I have no issue in giving Canada Travel Specialists / Brian a 5 star recommendation.”

“From the first conversation with Anne she was so engaging and enthusiastic. This was one of my wife’s bucket list trips and Anne turned it into the holiday of a lifetime. I’m notoriously difficult to please and have high expectations of the level of service etc that I expect. After all Ive worked hard to earn my holidays. I needn’t have worried. Anne arranged a superb itinerary covering flights to Vancouver, Alaskan cruise with Holland America, a further short stay in Vancouver then an unforgettable Rocky Mountaineer trip via Kamloops to Jasper then onwards to Banff visiting the Columbia Icefield and lake Louise. Anne arranged lots of excursions and trips covering each stop of our travels. If I had arranged my own itinerary I wouldn’t have included so many which would have been a big mistake. They were all excellent including a seaplane flight over Vancouver harbour, hop on/off bus in Vancouver, Capilano suspension bridge, Banff gondola to name a few. The scenery throughout the whole trip exceeded my expectations. The service, particularly on the Rocky Mountaineer (Goldleaf) was exceptional and so slick - I rarely describe any service as such but this really was so good! Credit where it’s due. Anne, thank you so much for your care and attention to detail. As discussed we know where to go to arrange our next trip. Thank you once more.”

“Adla arranged everything we wanted from our holiday, she was available from first contact upto and throughout the holiday to give advice, answer questions and generally be a huge support. We were amazed at the price we paid, having seen similar packages at much higher prices. We can highly recommend this company if you're thinking of a trip to Canada”

“Hi Michelle I just wanted to thank you and your company for arranging a fabulous itinerary across Canada. This was our first time in Canada. What an amazing country! Everything went to plan. The hotels were excellent. Toronto- Enjoyed visiting Niagra Falls and had a very nice meal up the CN tower. Banff- we loved Banff. The start of the Rockies. Enjoyed going on the gondola and visiting the lakes. We also did a trail up Tunnel Mountain. We found a couple of great rooftop bars with fabulous views. The Rocky Mountaineer- what can I say? What an amazing experience. The scenery, the service, the organisation- all excellent. Plus we saw a grizzly bear! Vancouver- Enjoyed touring around using the hop on hop on bus. We hired bikes and cycled all around Stanley Park and Granville Island- I wanted to try everything! All in all an amazing holiday. Your company knows how to put together a good itinerary and you have been very friendly and helpful to deal with. Thank you again Sent from my iPhone”

“Holiday went beautifully. The attention to detail about hotels, their location and standard made the holiday even more special as it made getting about even easier. Customer service very good before we went and we didn’t need it whilst there. We particularly enjoyed the Jasper to Banff journey that was included and arranged for us. The Alaska cruise had many highlights and memories made were very special. Whales and bald eagles a plenty in Juneau.”
