This trip was great! From the start the booking process was easy with friendly people at the end of emails and phone calls. First ever flight by myself and had a 6 hour delay! Staff waiting in borneo were great for reassurance. I went at a quiet time so got to know the other 3 volunteers really well. It was great to feel we helped out in the local community and learnt new skills. Much more than I could of expect. The only good thing about coming home was the free upgrade to business class! Thank you :)

Gap Trip to Ecuador 2015 Had an absolutely amazing time exploring Quito and it's amazing culture on arrival, stopping over in the beautiful beach party town of Canoa on the was to Las Tunas was a real bonding experience for the group and it's given me memories I'll never forget! The extension to the Kindergarten was gruelling but the locals that helped and my fellow gappers were so lovely it didn't feel like work! Also seeing how appreciative the children and families of the town were when they saw the finished product made it all 100% worth it! Work day evenings were spent relaxing at camp, going for an occasional swim and spending lazy evenings with the group. There were also some very fun weekends off project work spent partying in Montanita and whale-watching in Peurto Lopez. The camps team in country were brilliant and I even picked up some Spanish :') Met an amazing group of people, did some incredible project and conservation work and have memories I'll never forget. I'd recommend that everyone does a trip like this in their lifetime, it's an unmissable experience. I will definitely be going back!

I volunteered with Camps International for an amazing 2 months in Peru that I'll never forget. The organisation and help from the Camps Crew before leaving was extremely helpful and friendly and the Peru team even more so - big shout out to Jorge for being the best team leader possible! The project work was fun and challenging and I particularly enjoyed the teaching opportunities we had with local communities - definitely a great way to learn Spanish! The highlight for me though has to be the Salkantay trek to see Machu Picchu, a phenomenal experience I'll have with me forever. My favourite thing about Camps has to be their enthusiasm to get you stuck in to as many adventures as possible.

One of the best experiences of my life, if not the best! Meeting new people, seeing new places and making a difference in communities really makes it all worthwhile. You can actually see how your work is benefiting the people around you and you're doing it with amazing people! The company itself is fantastic and helps with anything you need, all you have to do is ask.

Camps International was by far a brilliant experience. I took part in the Borneo programme which was unforgettable. The service is brilliant and the places you get to see are just breathtaking. I wish that I was there again, the staff are so knowledgeable and friendly that you soon see them as your family. I have made life long friends whilst taking part in this as well as life changing experiences. I will hold this in my memory forever so join up!!!!!!

My trip to Camp Tinagol in Borneo was the best experience. As there was only 4 of us through camp international on the trip, we got to experience much more and more personally. The villages in Tinagol are the nicest and happiest people I think I've ever met, the children in the school I work in love hearing about all the stories of what we got up to and what the people were like. Kenny our camp leader is the funniest and nicest guy you'll ever meet, we was always having a laugh. Visiting the gong village, machete village and bee farm were great experiences, it was great to experience the different ways of live. Will definitely be going back!

My expedition to Tanga, Tanzania - coaching sport to the pupils of Boma Primary School - was an incredible experience and an opportunity I would encourage everybody to take an opportunity like this at least once in their life. Seeing the look on the children's faces as you drive or walk into the village makes the money spent and the hours of travelling completely worth it; despite not having a lot (many were walking barefoot and playing football with carrier bags tied together with elastic bands) their enthusiasm was unbelievable and heart-warming. Camps International were brilliant when it came to providing information and would love to either visit South America or even return to Tanga to check out the legacy we have left. This expedition has really inspired me to continue coaching, and has been a thoroughly enjoyable and worthwhile experience.

I travelled to Kenya in 2014 and stayed near Tsavo as part of the Healthcare Outreach Programme, we had an amazing time, the Camps staff in Tsavo were exceptional so friendly and nothing was too much trouble, our accomodation was more than we expected. The Camps office staff were also very helpful always ready to answer questions, I have recommended Camps to friends and colleagues and hopefully will be returning to Kenya in 2017

Borneo Suba - 2015 This trip was a once in a life time experience that I will never forget! The volunteers and leaders were extremely friendly and easy to talk to. This trip changed my views on other cultures and life outside of my own, making me want to take part on many more of these trips and travel the world more. I would strongly recommend this trip to anyone. The scenery was breathtaking. Every time I look back on the photographs of the trip, it makes me want to go back and do it all again. I miss being out there and look forward to the time when I can travel again with Camps International. Dont hesitate about putting your name down for one of these trips, its well worth it

The students who I accompanied to Ecuador this year had an absolutely amazing time and haven't stopped telling people about how great it was. They absolutely loved it and so did I. When we got to Ecuador everyone was just thrilled to bits with how great it was. The camps were beautiful, it was amazing waking up in the Amazon jungle or around Cayambe. The food was great and the accommodation was comfortable. At every camp the staff were brilliant, the kitchen staff must work so hard and were always happy to chat to you and teach you words in Spanish or Kichwa. The projects were interesting and the leaders were really passionate about them, they were great working with our students on them. The students really enjoyed the project work which included painting murals, planting orchids, laying foundations and building a greenhouse for a local primary school, amongst other things. In the evenings lots of students played football and volleyball with the local villagers and this became one of the highlights of the trip, there were also plenty of hammocks and common areas for students (and teachers) to chill out in after the day's work. Since signing up all the staff at CAMPS have been really supportive. The staff at head office were really supportive of the students and me throughout their fundraising. When we were out in Ecuador the in country staff were amazing, both at Tumbaco and in each camp. We had a great trip leader who really motivated the students and worked hard to make sure everyone was happy and understood the tasks that we were working on and their importance to the communities we were staying in. Overall the trip was absolutely fantastic and we will definitely be signing up again for 2017.

This was my second expedition to Kenya and Tanzania as a travelling teacher and I loved every second! Camps International are a dream to work with, all their awards are well and truly deserved. Our fifth expedition (2017) with Camps is about to be launched and Kenya is once again, our country of choice. We have also been to Ecuador/Galapagos and are going to Borneo next year. I would not travel with anyone else.

I spent a month in Cambodia as a leading member of school staff, with 21 pupils. From the outset the contact with Camps International was excellent, there was always somebody at the end of the phone if I needed any advice. The actual expedition itself was very well organised, and some fantastic memories will be etched in my mind forever, including sleeping in hammocks beneath a temple, where the monks chanted 24/7! In-country staff were fabulous, accommodation very good and the catering on a mass scale was always tasty and plentiful. I returned to school with a group of 21 pupils, who had turned into confident, mature young adults following they experiences. Every single one of them would say that it was the best month of their lives. I can not recommend Camps International highly enough, not only for the excellent organisation, but for the lasting legacies they are leaving in the countries they are working with.

An absolutely amazing month spent in Uganda, everything was just unforgettable. Raising the money was a challenge in itself, but after almost 2 years of fundraising it was truly worth it. This trip has helped me to understand ore about the situation in Africa and I think this is better than just giving £3 a month, because you actually make the difference yourself. Our team leader Chris always made sure that we had a target for the days when we were in the schools, which encouraged us to work harder in order to complete that goal. At the end of the project days we could see the difference we made to the schools pupils and their faces and some of our team were taken back by the pupils eagerness to help us with our tasks. Each project day we split into teams and had a different task so we all got a chance to try everything including Brick making, cement mixing, brick laying, filling in the gaps between bricks. But by far the best thing we did was the brick throwing chain from one end of the school to the other. Although we didn't get to complete any of the classrooms we knew that we made a big step in the progression of their completion. In addition the food and staff were amazing, i was completely happy to try almost everything the kitchen staff cooked up even if it seemed a little strange. Also the food sometimes felt like you where at home which helped get rid of some peoples home sickness. All of the on camp and project work staff were really helpful if we needed anything, the camps were better than expected the tents were really nice and the scenery was stunning especially on the mountain camps. By far the best camp was Hairy lemon, as it felt the most home away from home although Jinja had a nice lounge area and the UWEC restaurant was a nice place to talk in. My least favourite camp was Buddadiri because of lack of things to do after project work, i would of liked it if something had been organised with the locals like a football match. Overall i have no real criticisms of this expedition as it was thoroughly enjoyable experience, as it gave me more confidence to talk to people in my group that i never really talk to and talking to the people that i never met before. It also allowed me to make lots of new friends within the group which made the experience better because everyone had a different perspective of the days events. our team leader chris was beyond excellent and it helped that he was closer to our age because he could relate to us more. This was an unforgettable trip with lots of memories and new friends, i would be more than happy to do another one of these expeditions in the near future and its a highly recommendable experience to partake in.
