“BIG RED FLAG by not allowing Google reviews?!! My 15 year old daughter has had the most amazing, life changing, experience this summer in Kenya! The Camps International team, while she was there have been nothing more than exceptional, and I cannot thank them enough! If your son/daughter and you, as a parent, want this experience, I would absolutely tell you to go for it! BUT...Please don't fall for the "Sales Pitch"! Camps International are NOT a registered charity, you will NOT be able to raise money as a charity, therefore fundraising becomes much, much more difficult than you think it might be! The "fundraising help team" will be there for you 100% until you've raised half of the none refundable £4000! Then, they're gone... no support, no replies while asking for help! If you're not a high earner and need to raise all the money, be prepared for a stressful 2 years! Have a look on Companies House on the Gov.com website and have a look at just how much money this "Charity" is making...take a particular look at the Director of this "Charity"! Side note... most of the kids my daughter went with were only there because their parents needed their children to "have this on their CV"... I think Camps International have totally lost the original ethos! Such a shame!”

“Camp International is exceptional and we would highly recommend it to anyone! Organised and authentic they allow children to be fully immersed in other cultures and grow as people. The team building and excitement built from the outset with fundraising events and pre-departure briefs but the life-changing adventure was beyond all expectations. The Borneo trip was incredible encompassing three different camp locations and a week scuba diving. The teams were welcomed into each community and camp where they undertook an array of volunteering projects from tree plantation to teaching in schools. Every day was structured, inspiring and fun. The team leader Hannah and the teaching staff were fantastic encouraging their independence yet fully integrated into the closely bonded team. Whilst experiencing such an incredible country, the expedition gives students a different view of life. On return, it is noticeable that their priorities change, the world seems accessible and their eyes have been opened to a more simple yet community rich way of life. The trip also gives them so much more confidence and resilience from the experience and long-lasting friendships built from the closely bonded team. Thank you so much to the teams organising, supporting and enabling and to the local communities who welcomed them into their lives.”

“Thanks to everyone at Camps International for my daughter's once-in-a-lifetime Costa Rica experience. In particular, thank you to Matt, the Camps leader for Team San Hose, who we will never meet in person but whose leadership, care and injection of fun was really appreciated by our daughter - and in turn, us. This is our second experience of Camps International, 5 years apart and it has been just as smooth and easy. The only slight glitches being changes in team leadership late on and some confusion due to PADI and Traveller Gateway not 'talking' to each other. We highly recommend the Camps International experience to any young people with a sense of adventure and global community spirit. It's totally worth the hard slog of fundraising such large amounts.”

“Hannah was great, kind, funny and a caring leader. I meant some great people throughout my trip. I really enjoyed the first camp, the food was very nice there! The other camps, quality of living spaces and food were very poor. All the manual labour we did everyday of our trip, we only had rice and vegetables! We needed protein to keep energy levels up and for our muscles to recover. I lost 11 and a half pounds in weight. Came back very thin and poorly.”

“Absolutely brilliant trip! It was even better than I imagined! On return, students asked me to plan this trip again for their siblings as they would not want them to miss out on such an incredible opportunity. The organisation, the preparation, the support provided by the customer service, everything was perfect! I really appreciated their adaptability to the specific requests we had as a school. In country, we felt like we were in good hands. We always felt safe. Excellent expedition provider! Strongly recommend!”

“I have just got back from taking a group of 13 students from my school to Tanzania. All I can say is thank you! From the minute I got in contact about setting up this trip to coming home I have felt completely supported and have trusted Camps. The staff in the UK really know their stuff and want to help you to feel safe before leaving and the staff over in Tanzania went above and beyond to help us. Our expedition leader- Lydia was the most incredible leader, we were so lucky to have her. She was always so positive, knowledgeable, caring and motivating. I cannot praise and thank her enough for everything she did for us and I cannot wait to see what else she achieves with Camps. She really has become a friend for life. We did an impact expedition so didn’t do a trek or scuba but it really did feel like we made a difference. Some of the projects we worked on were: working on water drainage systems at a school, water hole maintenance, laying a classroom floor, building a new classroom, coral reef restoration and building a traditional mud house. It was so nice to meet the people whose lives we were impacting too- they were so genuinely happy to have us. We also went on safari, it was breathtaking! Camps organised this and we went with Bobby Tours. Our drivers were so good and got us the best stops every time. They were patient with us and happy to answer any questions. We were super lucky to see 2 prides of lions, countless elephants, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, warthogs and ostriches. I will never forget that day! The project workers in Tanzania were incredible as well, they were great with the kids, so knowledgeable about the area and the work that we were doing. For me, the local staff were the highlight of the trip as I had such interesting conversations with them about their lives. They were also really good on our cultural days, taking us to local tribes and teaching us local dishes- again this was one of my highlights. I cannot thank Camps enough for this life changing trip for me and my students and I cannot wait to organise the next one!”

“My daughter has had an amazing experience with Camps International in Ecuador. She was one of the youngest on the trip at age 15 but this did not hold her back. She thoroughly enjoyed and learned so much from living in the community, from the construction and conservation work - and from the incredible environment. “My son went on the Kenya trip and had the most amazing time. He loved all the activities and can’t praise their Team Kamba leader Chris highly enough! I was a little nervous about the accommodation and food in advance but he embraced it all. If you are considering fundraising for the trip for your child it’s worth factoring in the cost of vaccinations, visa and kit (if you don’t usually camp). A brilliant experience I would highly recommend”

“My son has just come home from Camp Ecuador, he had the most amazing time, made friends for life, enjoyed his volunteering and his hikes in the Andes. He commented the facilities and food were great. As a parent I can highly recommend Camps International, the trip was professionally prepared, organised and executed. We were kept informed during the the four weeks the team were away. Camps International reacted quickly to a period of civil unrest in the country and ensured the team was kept safe and promptly changed travel plans.”
