My son Archie has just returned from Borneo after his 4 week trip. He has come back buzzing from the trip and people he met. As parents, we feel it was the best trip we could have sent him on for the life long learning experience, and seeing such a different world to the one we take for granted. It seemed to be a perfect balance too, in that they worked hard in the day and had fun at night, and inaddition got their Scuba diving certificates. Camps International could not have been any better in the way the trip was organised - and how they organised the parents to ensure we were prepared. The communication was excellent from start to finish, maybe a few more photos when they were out there, but genuinely feel that its was amazing opportunity for Archie.

Hi Harriet, Thank you so much for the lovely review. We hope Archie has come back from Borneo with amazing memories, knowing that he not only raised all the money himself, but can now see where it has gone and the impacts it has made in-country. Kind regards Camps Crew

An amazing experience for our students! Started with a bit of culture shock for them, as life in Kenya is so different. However, a few days in and they were all mucking in with projects, meeting the local children and experiencing things they would never have a chance to otherwise. In-country support was faultless. Any issues dealt with smoothly, quickly and lots of support given. Students were shown by the local guides how the money they had paid was helping in the local communities. The amount they had to raise in a pandemic was a lot, but when they could see where it had gone, it was worth every penny! Only reason I can't give 5 stars is communication in UK before we went. Sometimes given conflicting information, or no response to emails. Other than this, I would recommend Camps International to everyone!

My daughter has just returned from Costa Rica. She’s had highs and lows but had an amazing time. She dealt with the lows which has made her more confident and resilient. She’ll cherish the highs forever. She has a new appreciation for life and what’s important. JD, the Camps team leader, has been amazing by the sounds of it. Looked after them well and did everything he could to make sure they had an experience of a lifetime. In years to come she’ll remember him as someone who inspired her and made a huge difference to her life. It’s hard as a parent letting them go off for 4 weeks to a distant place with little contact and it would have been easier not to let her go. I’m so glad I didn’t do that and she had this amazing opportunity.

Hi Kathryn, Thank you for your feedback. We hope your daughter will look back on this expedition in 10 years and realize the amazing work she has done! We will pass your feedback on to our leader JD who will be thrilled to read this. Kind regards Camps Crew

This company is an absolute disgrace. They have no values, morals or ethics. I paid £2,290 towards a dream expedition for my daughter to attend with her school that couldn’t go ahead due to covid. This was deferred to the following year and as my daughter was no longer at her school she was not allowed to go on the trip. Camps International have a clever legal team that somehow manage to get out of paying any refunds for trips that through no fault of the customer couldn’t go ahead. If you cannot trust a company with your money you certainly cannot trust them with your child!

Dear Parent We were just as disappointed that your daughter was not able to travel with her school on Expedition and as such worked to provide alternative options. Based on ongoing correspondence and the contract with the school, we are confident that we have fully complied with the Package Travel and Linked Air Travel Arrangements Regulations 2018 at all times and that no breach of our contractual duties has occurred. I didn’t have many expectations going in I just knew I wanted to give back to the community and Camps international was the way to do it. This trip truly humbled me and taught me so much about appreciating the little things in life as well as being aware of how much good we can do using our privilege. Not only did I get to help others around me but also developed a sense of independence myself and became much more open minded to the circumstances around me. Camps international expeditions is truly a once in a lifetime opportunity and if I could I would without a doubt do it again.

We had a wonderful trip to Kenya with Camps International. It was a fantastic and well planned experience. Thank you to our great trip leader, Keith Scott. Keith was excellent with our students, he led the group with so much knowledge and got to know our learners on a one to one level. The only reason I have given 4 stars is there were a couple of bits of information that camps forgot to tell us. E.g. that we had to pay for the PCR upon return/ we also were not told about doing travel locator forms.

What a great trip Thailand was!! From exploring Bangkok on a long-tail boat to running through local markets in Chiang Mai, kayaking to a floating cottage and climbing mountain cliffs in the forest, you could really not get more adventure into one week. I highly recommend this trip for those looking for some adventure!

So impressed with the Camps International team from start to finish. On the ground in Dubai, they were always accessible to support and answer questions. When Covid travel restrictions prompted a change of itinerary, they managed it seamlessly. My son was a bit anxious at the airport and Keith was an absolute star encouraging and redirecting the energy to having a fabulous experience. My son raved about the adventure at Camp Tsavo and can’t wait to go on another trip with Keith!

Camps International are now working with us in delivering our second overseas experience for our pupils. Last year, the destination was Kenya and this year it is Cambodia. We cannot fault them on the quality, competitive price and learning experiences that are truly world-class. Children experience positive challenges as well as have the opportunity to make meaningful contributions to overseas communities. Experiences that raise awareness, respect and support for people in different parts of the world are hugely powerful and this is delivered profoundly here. Socially and environmentally responsible as well as fun and growth based. Superb across the board.

The trip was fantastic from start to finish. The communication and organisation was faultless from start to finish despite the challenges of a location change and COVID related issues. The team were knowledgeable and our camp leader Keith was outstanding. Laura and Chris also worked incredibly hard behind the scenes to ensure staff and children were ready and prepared for their first international visit in 2 years. We felt prepared, safe and had a lot of fun along the way. The itinerary was varied and included opportunities to explore SDG's, build resilience and see the natural beauty that Kenya had to offer. The staff at the Tsavo camp were also wonderful and inviting and worked very hard to keep us happy. I would recommend this trip and CAMPS and will be travelling with them again in the future!

This is the best organization for High School student volunteer & cultural trips. Three of my children went to Borneo with Camps International when they were in Grade 11. It was a transformational seven days. Everything was extremely well organized and the kids had a wonderful time. They learned about the country's culture and they contributed to building a school. Sleeping in the jungle is an experience they often recall ! The entire trip made them grateful for the life they have, and it has actually encouraged them to continue to volunteer whilst in university.

This was our school's first-ever overseas trip, and I am so glad we choose to go with CAMPS International. it was an experience I will never forget. From the moment we got in touch with CAMPS, the team could not have been any more helpful. Our team consisted of Jemima, Chris and JD, aNd what a trio they are. The excitement from our students when Jemima came in to talk about the trip was felt around the school. Every question however big or small was answered and amazing support was given to our parents who of course were nervous about sending their children to a different country. We were supported at every turn. The excitement from Jemima filled the room at our predeparture meeting. Chris, answered at least 20 questions a day from myself, never mind parents. So thank you to them both so much. The trip itself was out of this world, Our camp leader was amazing and create such an exciting experience for our kids from the moment we got on the bus right up until it was sadly time to come home. He made every activity, meal and outing educational and fun for the students, He has such patience and kindness towards our student with special needs and basically carried him down a mountain all with a smile on his face. He was encouraging to both students and staff at all times. The staff at Camps were also amazing from our Camp manager to the security who kept us safe all week, they were so friendly and welcoming. They shared experiences of their lives and taught us so much. it was such a privilege to get to live and get to know them. the students are still talking about Peter. The trip its self was organised so well. The way the days were planned out allowed the students to have time to reflect on the day in the evening time and get enough rest to start again with our project work. the accommodation and the facilities were spotless and very well maintained. the food was amazing and such a variety every night, we never ate the same food twice. I know a highlight for most of them was deworming the goats and getting to meet all the families in the community. They along with myself were very humbled about how kind and welcoming they were to invite us into their homes. I personally, loved going to the school and meeting all the children and getting to spend time with them watching them learn and enjoying their time with eachother. Another highlight for me was having my students ask lots of questions about the conditions and why this was still happening in the world. I was proud of their awareness and wanted to find out answers. they have all said how much they want to go back to Kenya to see all the children at the school. Overall I cannot say enough what a fantastic experience this trip was from start to finish and I truly hope to be back again next year with camps whether it be to Kenya or to another destination. I cannot rate CAMPS highly enough to do them justice. The work you all do is amazing and I applaud each and every one of you AMAZING PEOPLE. CAMP KENYA TEAM 10/10 JD 10/10 Chris 10/10 Jemima 20/10 for being the person to introduce camps international into south view schools life. THANK YOU FROM THE BOTTOM OF MY HEART. :):):)

Incredibly unethical business selling their idea to poor unsuspecting teenagers looking for a great experience. However if anything goes wrong all they do is refer to their terms and conditions. My daughter was due to go to Cambodia in the Summer of 2021 and began her fundraising in ernest in 2020, then Covid hit and it took a toll on my daughters mental health and on our family financially. My daughter decided to cancel in October 2020 more than 6 months before said trip and was told that the £800 already paid would not be refunded however as a "goodwill gesture" they wouldn't charge us the cancellation fee. What are they talking about, COVID has hit many people in many ways and even the smaller tour operators are understanding and willing to refund as much as possible. No flights had been booked nothing had been organised, no service received for the £800 paid, essentially we were paying to line Camp International's pockets! We kept getting the same reply from them referring to their terms and conditions and we subsequently found out the trip in Summer of 2021 had been cancelled, all participants had been fully refunded, except us. So our £800 was taken but everyone else refunded? How does that even work, what have we paid for. At a time where people needed to be a little flexible, a term clearly NOT in Camp International's terms and conditions, I find this company who claim they are a "Charity" morally lacking and incredibly unscrupulous. I will be taking my claim for £800 to court and I sincerely hope that people think twice before even booking with them.

I’m really shocked at the unethical practices of this organisation. A once in a lifetime trip to Borneo was booked for my son and he fundraiser for it. When Borneo went on the red list, the school cancelled the trip. Incredibly Camps flatly refused to refund. After much legal wranglings they have offered a settlement of about one third of what has been paid. Camps even cancelled the trip themselves anyway about two weeks after the school did, but used the school’s sensible cancellation decision as a reason not to refund. To keep funds raised for charity by children is not just unethical, it is downright wrong.
