“Delivery of a full pallet arranged for thursday, got phone call from delivery driver at 9.30am on wednesday asking where house was. Driver reallystruggled to get them onto tailgate! His pallet truck could barely lift them. After some time he got them off tailgate but could not move them at all. Because of this they are left out on the road in the rain so had to cover with tarpaulin. I have been cutting my firewood for 40yrs but due to poor health have now to buy it. I have had to arrange a forklift to move them 2mt into my garage at a cost. Logs are great, delivery co not so good. This is not Calido fault but the delivery company who say they deliver pallets need updating their equipment. I cant unload these one by one because of my health so unfortunately will not be able to buy these again.”

“Hi just received first delivery from Calido. Driver was v. helpful. BUT with a bit of prior discussion would have been better. I.E. Smaller vehicle would have given much better access and the packaging is strong enough to act as a store Will know for the next time”

“The burn times were less than regular logs. Therefore I feel that this product would not really be cost efficient for me. I appreciate the chance to try that sample pack. It helped me make my decision. A friend gave me several logs of one of the competing brands and they were not any better or worse than yours. So, thanks. But no thanks.”

“The product and service from Calido was excellent but the delivery fell short. No delivery on the day and I had to chase the delivery to get it in the end. Calido were supportive but no apology from the delivery company”

“The service was fantastic, the wood briquettes less so. I have got them before and they were good but the new wood source means they are much more crumbly and burn much faster, so are poorer value for money. I also got some logs which are not easy to burn at all, though very dry.”

“I wasted a day due to delayed delivery. I waited a whole day only to be advised late on the day that delivery would be between 6 and 7 pm and then received a phone call apologising that delivery would not be made until the following day. Delivery on that day was then completed!! I do appreciate delays are always issues but flexibility should work both ways and communication should always be critical.”

“The Calido Hot Blox give excellent long lasting heat. The price for a half pallet has risen by 24% (£179 on 17th Dec 2020 to £225 on 1st Dec 2021) which seems a bit steep.”

Hi Eric, Thanks for your recent purchase. It's disappointing to see a 3 star review that gets classed as a negative review within the reviews world! The price hike is something completely out of our control, the cost of the briquettes coming into us and the onward delivery to you have gone up significantly. We've absorbed as much as we can to the extent that we make less per pallet this year than last which makes your negative review all the more frustrating. “No problem with the product or the delivery itself but WHY bother asking me to book a delivery slot if you are just going to deliver it whenever it suits you? As luck would have it, i was at home but it arrived a day early.”

Hi Craig, thanks for your recent order and I'm sorry to see the three star review due to the delivery service. We offer a delivery date picker rather than a 5 day window offered by many other companies as we don't want people having to hang about all week waiting for their delivery. We passed on your preferred date to Palletline and it appears they took a chance to try deliver a day early. Had you not been in Palletline would have phoned us to ask if it was ok to leave the delivery, as they had tried to deliver a day early we would have asked them to take it back to the depot and redeliver it on the correct date. “Product perfect but let down by delivery driver. Had someone not been at home he would have dropped pallet at the kerb side. Was put in the desired place in the end so was clearly not an issue.”

I am glad that you enjoy our Kiln Dried Ash 🔥 In regards to the delivery process, our agreement with our palletline partner is strictly a kerb side delivery however if possible the driver will usually move it closer if there is stable ground and it is safe to do so. “Happy with product but not happy with delivery. I was told it would be on a tail lift lorry and it came on a flat bed. I had great problems with getting someone to unload it.”

“Hi tried the free starter pack.burnt really well but loads of ash and didn't last very long.expanded as burning so had to be careful opening door sometimes.burnt really well in an open fire loads of heat . still trying to find the ultimate compressed log.”
