“The recent delivery was excellent. I received a call from the delivery driver before he arrived and he assisted in getting the pallet into our dry garage, preventing me from having to decant it by hand after the delivery. Excellent service.”

“For the past couple of years I've bought my logs from someone else with two builders bags usually filling my log store. Thought I'd try a Birch crate from Calido and was not disappointed, filled the log store and had quite a bit left over, the logs were cut to a decent size and very dry, the crate will also make a great second log store when I get round to upcycling ir. Will be ordering again in the future.”

“Bought a trial pack to see how good these are compared with seasoned hardwood. Very impressed with the product but I probably need to find a way of halving them for use in my stove. The temperature very quickly rose on the gauge to 450C, too hot for an optimum balance between burn time and heat. Any advice on how to easily split the briquettes would be greatly appreciated.”

“Recently, I ordered logs from Calido for the first time. I phoned to ask about the types of wood and got useful advice which allowed me to make an online purchase. Delivery dates were available to chose from and delivery was prompt and as arranged.”

“1. The order process was easy. We ordered 3 packs of hotties which arrived when you said they would. 2. However and no fault of Calido, the delivery driver complained strongly about the weight of the package. He demanded twice to know what was in the package. We declined due to a matter of privacy. 3. The driver stated quite emphatically that if he had known how heavy the package was then '' it wouldn't have left the depot''. It was delivered by a local company from Redruth. The driver carried it from his vehicle to our garage which was a distance of about 20 metres. 4. The method of delivery is between Calido and their delivery partners. Our opinion is that Calido need to ensure that whoever they hire is happy with delivering your products.”

Hi, thank you for your order and your review. It is fortuitous that your parcel was one of the last 30kg parcels we shipped as we decided to reduce the maximum packs due to the weight of them. From Wednesday 18th December we reduced sample packs to single or twin packs on our website. Nevertheless, I’m disappointed to read about the attitude displayed by the DHL driver mentioned in your feedback. The weight of the parcel the you received is the maximum allowed by DHL so the driver should have got on with his job and delivered the parcel without complaining to you. I will raise this with DHL immediately as this is not the type of unprofessional attitude we expect from any of the delivery companies we use. Kind Regards, John Farrell Owner Calido Logs and Stoves

“I used to use verdo briquettes for my woodburner until verdo stopped manufacturing them a couple of years ago. Since then, I bet I've tried every type of ecolog on the market and none of them stand up to verdos. I've been lost in the renewable ecolog wilderness! Verdo briquettes don't swell, burn longer and keep their shape better. They create much less ash than inferior briquettes as they seem to have a lower sawdust content. The only eco log that is anywhere near as good from my experience are the little hotties but they're nowhere near as good value for money and don't burn as long. I received my sample pack of Calido briquettes today and my eyes lit up. My adrenaline started pumping and everything started going in slow motion. I was really pleased to find they ARE completely identical to Verdos! As a result of this, I will be ordering a full pallet of them ASAP with a tenner off so I can't lose. Thanks Calido! As you can tell, I'm really quite chuffed about this.”
