“Unfortunately only part of the order arrived, I emailed customer service but my email was missed. Called up again and the rest of the order was sent out but then arrived damaged, still haven't received the full order.”

“Cable Monkey are OK, but their choice of couriers leave a lot to be desired. I contacted Cable Monkey via their social media and didn't receive a response, which in this day and age is a bit unusual. I ordered some patch cables and a metal patching frame. The packaging for the frame was woeful and it was delivered by the courier in a very beaten up state. By some miracle (and certainly not due to their courier or the packaging), the frame was largely undamaged aside from a mark near the mounting holes. I would order low value items from Cable Monkey again, but I would be reluctant to order anything of value/size based upon this experience. A shame really.”

“Overall I was happy with my order, customer service was good. The colour of the "red" cable is actually more of a maroon, when I complained to cable monkey I heard back from a nice lady who tried to replace the cables with actual red ones but was told that was the only red colour they do. Customer service great but product poor.”

“We recently ordered a fair amount of Cat 5 & Cat 6. The quality of the cable is great, however the packaging was a bit of a state. I have attached some photos of how the cable came. It was quite a time consuming task to go through and untangle them all. I don't know in the future if it would be possible for them to come with small zip ties or a small tag of PVC tape to prevent them tangling in this way.”

“ordered cat6a in purple in every length, and it was a mixed bag, from best to worst: 10m cable seemed to be double shielded instead of a foil layer, the increased length resolved the reflection issue I'm having, so it performed really well and I cannot say if the shielding was better or equal to the 3m cables, but it's definitely not worse, but the deviation from spec might cause unexpected results in some niche use cases, even if they are better. "I cant believe it's not fibre" 1m, 2m, 3m, all performed really well, shielding is solid so they performed as expected from cat6a, with in my case longer lengths reducing reflection, so I decided to buy more 3m cables afterwards based on the outcome. perfect and exactly the quality I wanted 0.5m cable was hand made and the boots fit very poorly, likely could cause damage over time but seemed to work as expected other than being too short so having worst reflection. I bought it only to dismantle and test cable quality, I don't think such short cables should actually be used 5m cable for some reason was very bad, it performed worse than the other cables, as far as I can tell it is not shielded well, and instead has double foil; this meant despite the extra length reducing my reflection issue, the interference was so bad that it performed worse than the shorter cables. the cable itself seemed dusty and old and didn't have the same quality or build as the others, potentially it was just old stock but it seemed used, not new, and might have been faulty. it will function perfectly fine as a cat5e cable but it doesn't meet the needs I have that required cat6a to begin with. I might try to buy 5m in other colours to see how they compare, and I would have certainly preferred to get the "wrong" colour sent to me, rather than what I received. clearly Connectix are capable of making some really good quality cables so I will keep buying them, but for some reason their retail side seems a mixed bag in terms of end result. my only assumption is that they don't sell many purple cables of certain lengths, and as a result I got some old or bad stock that doesn't meet their current standards. probably they should have a "random" colour option for those who don't care, to stop unpopular coloured stock getting old, and the bad cat6a cables could just be sold as decent cat6 instead.”

“Issue with Cat 6 Ethernet cable. Have ordered this product previously & it was excellent - nice product/quick delivery time etc. Disappointed this time - same but longer Cat 6 cable had printed info on it for the entire length. The previous one had virtually no printed info on it. What's the point in choosing a fancy colour of cable if the entire length is covered in printed info? It needs to state this on the product details on the website. Also poor Customer Service attitude when I phoned up - no apology & the attitude was "I'm the first customer to complain about this issue" so it doesn't matter!! And I have to pay postage to return the goods I'm not happy with! See photos to illistrate the difference in the 2 cables I ordered (at different times).”

“The actual customer service and sakes experience was excellent. However, my order included 305m box of Cat5e external cable. The box that the cable was in was very flimsy and falling apart before I even used it. I had to tape the box up to stop if coming open. Also, when I first tried to pull the cable out of the box it was tangled up inside the box so I had to open the box and sort it all out - not very happy. The order also included quite a lot of patch leads. The leads were not packaged in any king of packet but instead, were all just bundled together in different lengths which I again had to untangle. I have never had either of the problems with you or any other supplier before. I will not be buying cable or patch leads from you in the future.”

“I had a few problems. I ordered a trial patch cable but the AB was not reversed, perhaps as a patch it is not meant to be. Eventually I found out from them how to unclip one end and change it round, it then worked. But quick delivery, it looks OK so would use again when I want much longer one.”
