“Having bought C & A products previously I looked through the catalogue to see if anything caught my eye. I saw some flat solid glass clear polycarbonate sheets that when cut in half would make two squares to use under my Washer and Drier. I made a call on the telephone quoting the Part Number FC61206CL and this sheet was delivered in no time. This was easily cut in half and installed. This clear polycarbonate is 200 times stronger than glass.”

“I have been a customer of C&A for the past five years. It's not the cheapest but competitive and well stocked with quality products My main building work is mostly complete but all of my rainwear and plastic products were sourced from c&a whare most of the staff are helpful and polite.”

Hi Jamie, Thank you for your review and points you have raised and will offer some information for the reasons they are made this way. The guttering is dual extruded and this is becoming more and more common to the point others are starting to follow. Some of the reasons for manufacturing them this way are . 1) having a white inner helps reduce the heat retention during summer months which stops the cracking/popping noises sometimes experienced as they expand (dark colours draw more heat) The dual extrusion also helps keep the costs down as the colour pigments and need for pure virgin materials for all the gutter are reduced. This why we are able to offer a full range of guttering and low prices than other suppliers. All the gutters come with the manufacturers warrantee and this process does not effect the function. I hope this helps explain why they are manufactured in this way and look forward to seeing you again.
