“Delivery and service were excellent. We had a problem with some glazing bars because we ordered the wrong base. The returns policy was extortionate 20% plus £10 admin. The differnce between the two types of base was not clear on the web site and although we only wanted to return the base we had to return the top as well and then repurchase both. The excuse that they were sold as a unit although the top fitted both types of base was unconvincing.”

Thank you for your viewpoint. I have looked up your order and can see that you have ordered from the website the Eden glazing bar and then later decided to change to the Hawk glazing bar system. The website has clear photos showing the different section and a clear description that the Eden bar has two plastic sections as opposed to the Hawk’s aluminium base and plastic top which is why the Eden bar is cheaper. In the T&C we are clear about the returns process and that we can not accept back only components and must be the whole product that was purchased when it is a product with multiple components. We also detail the returns process with admin and restocking expenses, which during the purchase process you have marked as saying you have accepted. We sell a lot of products, and many have multiple components that are not available separately, as a company we must create procedures for everyone to follow that encompass all of these and is part of the reason why we do not accept returns of subcomponents instead of the whole product sold. The labour, time, resources, and opportunity cost (of being able to serve other customers) are generally not recouped by the minor restocking charges (which are industry standard by us and alternatives suppliers as shown in their T&C’s). This changing of your mind on which glazing bar you wanted, has therefore been a cost for all parties but we hope you have now the components you require for your job, that it goes well for you, and that you were also fortunate to save on the polycarbonate sheet ordered due to the 20% August promotion that saved you the £10 from your order. “After placing an order one evening C&A Building product rang me first thing in the morning to confirm certain elements of the order as they thought I had made a mistake. Due to the unique nature of the layout I needed my order was correct but it was great to see they were on the ball. Customer service at its very best. Delivery was faultless and the delivery driver was brilliant. Very helpful.”

“Excellent service. I was contacted by phone. Told me because I was out of area it would be sometime the following week and delivery driver would contact me. Sure enough go a text telling me day and time. Arrived bang on time with everything I needed. Excellent product and excellent service. Thanks”

“Price not the cheapest, but what appealed to me was the range of products (600mm fascia) and that it was all in stock (extremely important to me, I don't want to wait for something to come in stock!). Gary, the delivery driver, was great (always good to have a professional delivery driver) - keeping me informed. Would definitely use them again.”

“Excellent price & service from start to finish I was kept informed how the items would be delivered the driver contacted me what day he would be coming and arrived on time, he was polite friendly and very helpful. Items were checked in front of me upon delivery to make sure it was correct and in good order. I would highly recommend this company to anyone”

“I have had two recent order, one delivered and one I collected. No problem with the collection but I found the delivery charge excessive seeing I live about a mile and a half away also it took quite a long time for receipt og goods, it would have been a lot cheaper and quicker to hire a man and a van for the delivery.”

“The sanctuary carport arrived on-time and was delivered to our garden ready to be installed. The package is complete and correct with detailed instructions, including the correct size drill bits, pop rivet set and touch-up paint. The whole kit is so well designed it took about an hour to install five meters.”
