“Good price and well packaged. However delivery packing was damaged as the package was left out in the rain. Equipment wasn't damaged but I wasn't impressed with the courier.”

“Corrugated sheets cut poorly; massive chips, chunk on edges, not cut square and having ordered 8 sheets, none of them where the same length. Stickers on the sheets where ridiculously difficult to remove; the glue residue left behinds is unpleasant. I would suggest you do not apply these stickers. Disappointed. Dissatisfied.”

Hi Thank you for the feedback. We will pass this on to the manufacturers, and we have suggested this to them previously in regards to the stickers. These thinner grade 0.8mm are infact the same ones found in most of the country as the manufacturer has a virtual monopoly on the supply and is something that is common across all the 0.8mm PVC corrugated in the UK. The product does still win hands down on being the cheapest way for roofing, but may also be why there has been a rise in popularity of the stronger polycarbonate corrugated sheets in both the trade and DIY markets. “bought polycarbonate roof sheets measurement were 1045 mm wide so my car port was built to this spec the width was actually 1058 mm wide so it all had to be dismantled and done again costing me more money”

“I needed to replace my 35 year old supported polycarbonate conservatory roof which I bought fromC&A at the time. I wasn’t sure what I needed to upgrade the roof to a uv protected self supporting system . I spoke to ish and he ordered everything for me , it was delivered promptly and my son and I have fitted it. An excellent system which should see me out! I would thoroughly recommend C&A Building Products and their staff , I would particularly like to mention delivery driver Gary who kept in touch and was very helpful.😀”

“Delivery and service were excellent. We had a problem with some glazing bars because we ordered the wrong base. The returns policy was extortionate 20% plus £10 admin. The differnce between the two types of base was not clear on the web site and although we only wanted to return the base we had to return the top as well and then repurchase both. The excuse that they were sold as a unit although the top fitted both types of base was unconvincing.”

Thank you for your viewpoint. I have looked up your order and can see that you have ordered from the website the Eden glazing bar and then later decided to change to the Hawk glazing bar system. The website has clear photos showing the different section and a clear description that the Eden bar has two plastic sections as opposed to the Hawk’s aluminium base and plastic top which is why the Eden bar is cheaper. In the T&C we are clear about the returns process and that we can not accept back only components and must be the whole product that was purchased when it is a product with multiple components. We also detail the returns process with admin and restocking expenses, which during the purchase process you have marked as saying you have accepted. We sell a lot of products, and many have multiple components that are not available separately, as a company we must create procedures for everyone to follow that encompass all of these and is part of the reason why we do not accept returns of subcomponents instead of the whole product sold. The labour, time, resources, and opportunity cost (of being able to serve other customers) are generally not recouped by the minor restocking charges (which are industry standard by us and alternatives suppliers as shown in their T&C’s). This changing of your mind on which glazing bar you wanted, has therefore been a cost for all parties but we hope you have now the components you require for your job, that it goes well for you, and that you were also fortunate to save on the polycarbonate sheet ordered due to the 20% August promotion that saved you the £10 from your order. “After placing an order one evening C&A Building product rang me first thing in the morning to confirm certain elements of the order as they thought I had made a mistake. Due to the unique nature of the layout I needed my order was correct but it was great to see they were on the ball. Customer service at its very best. Delivery was faultless and the delivery driver was brilliant. Very helpful.”
