“Very quick delivery,package well in lovely presentation box. Only down side was the paper I chose for that year was very thin so I feel not very good value for money I paid.”

Dear Jo, Sorry to hear you weren't completely happy with your 1943 Daily Express. Both during the Second World War and well into the 1950’s, all newsprint was strictly rationed and produced mainly from recycled materials. The wartime blockade by U boats and enemy warships added to the dire shortage of paper. Therefore your wartime paper is both fragile and precious and, being from such historical times well worth careful handling and preservation.
