“Was supposed to be scottish paper, but the paper that came was english paper. There was an option for scottish cert but didn't happen. Also there an option to send to receiver but the card for there anniversary was empty wasn't filled in at all even though they said they could deliver straight to receiver. Pretty poor for the total cost of the order, more time could have been spend ensuring the correct paper was chosen and card was filled in.”

Hi Brian, Thank you for your review, I have checked your order, and you ordered The Sun newspaper which is an English newspaper (I don’t have many Scottish newspapers in my archives and those that I do clearly state the title i.e Scottish Daily Express etc) the Day You Were Born certificate was the Scottish version if you check the FA Cup winners it does state two Scottish teams. Also, with reference the birthday card there was no message on the order so it was left blank

“It always a treat for someone to recieve a bit of their history, even though they don't remember or know about what was happening on the day they were born, my DIL is going to be thrilled to bits when she sees what I got for her, it's something she's wanted for a long time.”

“Thank my lucky stars that Bygone News stepped in when let down by 'Historic Newspapers'. Paul pulled out all the stops and turned around the anniversary gift delivery in time for the big day. Having a number you can call to speak to someone and then going that extra mile to help in an emergency (caused by a competitors lack of service) was really appreciated. Don't look elsewhere, I can 100% recommend Bygone News from my experience.”

“Amazing service - I forgot to complete the certificate of authentication page so I emailed Bygone News explaining what I had done. I received a reply within minutes asking what I would like my message to be. This again was done for me within minutes and I received a confirmation email. This was all on Thursday afternoon and the paper was received on Friday morning. What service - I will definitely be using them again!!”

“I didn't know such a thing existed, but settled on an early Times edition for my neighbour's special birthday She was absolutely delighted, and amazed it could be sourced The website itself - easy to navigate and find what you need and the paper was beautifully presented, with a certificate of authenticity you can add a note to, for that extra-personal touch Fast delivery too, and sent with a reputable courier so you know it'll arrive! Recommended”
