The butler was great initially, did some party games, helped to break the ice between the people who didn’t really know each other at the party. He then seemed irritated by the length he was booked for, and became slightly rude to me. He later apologised.. however left 20 minutes before he was due to leave. The Hen of the party enjoyed the experience and the rest of the guests were happy, however it ruined the weekend for me and were disappointed we paid for three hours yet he chose to leave early!

I wasnt very impressed by their late arrival . One seemed experienced but his brother was like a rabbit in headlights and needed alot of guidance by his brother and us as a group. we dis have fun but i felt it wasnt worth the money i had paid

They were travelling over two hours to reach you, and traffic delays may have impacted their punctuality. We understand your concerns regarding the performance of our butlers. While one of them is highly experienced, the other is relatively new and currently undergoing training. Didn’t offer much addition apart from pouring the odd drink and taking some photos. Didn’t play any games. Disappointed overall. Definitely not worth the money

Dear Customer, We are sorry to hear you weren't completely satisfied with the service on this occasion. We were very surprised because the butler in question is a very experienced butler, working many jobs for us before. He was even rated the 2nd top butler in our company last year based on reviews. We spoke to him and he said he was only asked by the organiser to serve drinks and to take pictures (games were only mentioned 15 minutes before the end). He said it was also difficult to do games because of the environment, the guests were in the pool and it was very loud and echoey. Once again we apologise the event didn't go as expected. We will closely monitor his performance and ensure he is a bit more proactive with the games going forwards and he will receive some further training. Kind Regards, Butler Bookings Team

As a hen party we had to bring the vibes and games as the butler did not come prepared with activities. He felt awkward and uncomfortable and did not use his initiative to play games or serve food/drinks. Plus he made some of the hens feel uncomfortable with comments about their bodies.

Hi Hannah, We sincerely apologise for any dissatisfaction you experienced with our service. We were surprised by your review as it's the first negative feedback we've received regarding the specific butler involved. Typically, he garners positive responses. However, we take all customer feedback seriously. After discussing with him, he expressed feeling that some comments were unjust as he made efforts to host the pre-planned activities and ensure everyone had an enjoyable time. He believed everyone was satisfied. Regarding remarks made about guests' bodies, we completely agree that such comments are unacceptable. Rest assured, steps will be taken to prevent such occurrences in the future. Further training will be provided to the butler to enhance his initiative in serving food and drinks, as well as in hosting activities. We'll closely monitor his performance to prevent reoccurrences of these issues. Booked well in advance a butler to come and entertain for a birthday at 8pm. 8:10 called butler bookings and was told “apologies this guy has done this before, sorry do you want a refund” Understandably I was frustrated and explained this wasn’t good enough. After several further conversations they eventually found a replacement. This is where the night was saved by a replacement butler Matt he traveled all the way from Birmingham at presumably short notice and his performance and dedication to the job really saved the evening. If it wasn’t for the initial poor service and response then it would be a 5* review. Thank you Matt again for such a great evening.

Hi Sarah, We are sorry to hear you weren't completely satisfied with the service. I am not sure if you heard us incorrectly on the phone but we never said the original butler had let us down before because he is normally reliable. We said we would try to find cover and offer a full refund if we weren't successful. Luckily we managed to find another butler for you within 20-30 minutes of the initial complaint. It is incredibly rare our contractors don't turn up to our events, but we are sorry it happened on this occasion and for any inconvenience it may have caused. We have also taken the necessary steps to ensure the butler in question doesn't do this again. Despite the issues, we are pleased to hear that our replacement butler Matt did a great job and that the night ended on a high. Thanks for choosing us for your event. A little disappointed if I’m being honest. Nice guy but quite quiet and struggled to engage the audience, not sure if it was a confidence thing. But surprising in this job. When it came to the games he brought his phone out to support him with ideas. Took a while to get the evening started, which is different to other other hen weekends I’ve been to where they’ve had a Butler in the Buff.

I was quite disappointed with Aris, he was meant to give me 2hr grace period but instead I felt more stressed, he wasn’t engaging or interacting with the girls. He also mentioned he was tired a few times which then to find out as he was partying the night before in heaven. Overall quite disappointing.

Not the best start as our butler was late. No courtesy call to say he was going to be late. By the time he was changed it was half an hour into the time. He was quite shy to start with which was fine however I think we feel he could have made the vibe better with a bit more confidence. Once the games started he did seem to become quite arrogant. He suggested the plaster game and was very on edge when the ladies were touching him to get the plaster. Eye rolls and lots of huffing and puffing. Another game was played and none of us felt comfortable as it was disturbing (we had to take a shot if we wouldn’t sleep with 2 children with the combined age of 30) we feel there could of been more appropriate ways to get us to drink a shot. However towards the end he took pictures with us all and once he was changed out of his butler uniform he did interact better with us, lots of chat.

Butler went to wrong hotel and was over half hour late. Then spent over 15 mins getting ready. He was a little unorganised, played a game from his phone and didnt really seem to have a plan or was prepared for us. He was a lovely guy, friendly but just a shame it was a bit messy.

We booked a butler for my friends hen do but unfortunately it was nothing like we expected and we were left feeling largely disappointed. Booking the butler was an efficient process and John responded quickly to any questions we had. I called up about a week before to confirm all was ok. I was told yes and that our butlers name was Gavin who gets good feedback....... Then a bloke called AJ turned up. He was a nice enough guy but he seemed to think it was enough to turn up and look pretty. We all had a good time but that's because we made it a good time rather than thanks to AJ. He joined in the party, drank our drink and ate our food which wouldn't have been a problem had he contributed something more. Any games we played were co-ordinated and thought up by us and at one point my friend actually poured him a drink - quite the opposite of having a butler.... We'd hired him for 2 hours and once the first hour had passed I actually said to him we'll take a back seat and let you take the lead now ..... still got nothing. He clock watched for the last 15 minutes and at 5 to 10 went and got changed. Looking at other people's feedback I'd say we just got unlucky but our experience certainly wasn't value for money and we really felt reluctant to pay the balance. It ended up being £105 for a 2 hour conversation with a pretty face .....

Hi Emma, We are sorry you weren't happy with the service provided on this occasion. Anthony (AJ) has done many events for us in the past and we have always received 5 star reviews about him before so we were surprised by this feedback. After speaking to Anthony about this he said that the event was a lot more organised than he was used to and although he did suggest a few games, most of them had already been played but he did get involved with all the ones that had been pre-planned and helped pour/make up the drinks. He also said he didn't consume any food or drink that wasn't offered to him. In order to prevent this occurring in future we will encourage Anthony to be more proactive and offer him further training in terms of games and we hope you can accept our apology on this occasion.

Gav was totally unprepared with no games and no ideas of what he could do. He actually said to the bride to be why are you getting married I wouldn't, which upset her as you can imagine on her hen do. He also asked my guests to get HIM a drink! He was a nice lad but young and inexperienced in hosting. I wouldn't book another butler due to this experience. It seemed pointless having one. Thanks
