“It’s a big thumbs up for the NHS and the District Nurses. Having been wearing a male catheter for over 10 months I have recently had a period when the catheter has decided to eject of its own accord. Naturally this usually occurs post 10 p.m., but the Rapid Response Team have attended at speed and inserted a replacement. The the catheters were balloon failures. Naturally it’s rather depressing when this happens when recently two were fitted within days, but the nurses never flagged in their effort to resolve and replace the offending item - balloon failures in recent occasions. Hopefully this will just be a memory as shortly I’m up for a TURP to resolve the issue, so that I can get on with my radio therapy - Once again, thanks to Urology and District Nurse teams.”
