“Here in Peterborough in the huge shopping area there is one public toilet. If you have to go to the loo the shops and restaurants demand you buy food and drink. The card 'I can't wait', is a lifesaver.”

Dear Deborah, Thank you for sharing your experience, we are aware that some retailers can be reluctant which is a shame - we have to remind ourselves that the card is designed to be a discreet way of asking for help, it can't become a demand for toilet access. It sounds like you ultimately gained the help you needed - we continue to work to educate people around bladder and bowel conditions in order to improve access. We believe people need help understanding the issues others face, and that next time this member of staff sees a Just Can't Wait Card, he'll know what it's for.
