“Excellently equipped narrow boats on historically interesting canal systems enabling travel through peaceful countryside, interesting towns and stops at waterside pubs for a well-earned beer after all the exercise. It's just great fun to operate the boat and the canal locks.”

“We spent a most enjoyable week aboard Carole out of stoke on Trent base and despite mixed weather everyone aboard had a great time and will have no hesitation in recommending black Prince to friends and family”

“What a great, relaxing holiday. Superb introduction by our Black Prince team (Bridge Boatyard, Ely); really friendly and informative. The boat was lovely but just be prepared for the first day of “finding places to store stuff”. Excellent toilet and shower facility. I was pleasantly surprised by how easy the narrowboat was to manoeuvre! Great galley for cooking and lovely riverside pubs on the Cam and Great Ouse to moor up for the night. Pootle along watching the world go by and the dogs enjoyed it too! Black Prince deserve praise - great holiday experience!”

“We took our second holiday on a Black Prince narrowboat in May and it was one of our most memorable holidays. The boat was fantastic - all modcons even including wifi and TV! The cruise itself was superb - we started off in Ely (a beautiful city) and cruised down towards Bedford - St Ives and Godmanchester were brilliant stopping-off points and there were bucketloads of beautiful countryside, and wildlife, in between. The abundant riverside meadows in spring / early summer were stunningly beautiful. We will certainly return for another trip sometime soon.”

“We first used Black Prince in 1978 and with only a couple of short gaps - have been enjoying their boats ever since! We have hired all different sized boats and all have been excellent. The new livery is both modern and practical; including a larger galley and much-needed microwave! We have travelled all over the canal network, but are still finding new cuts to explore. The staff are efficient and we always get a warm, friendly welcome at the bases. Keep up the good work and we look forward to seeing you again next Spring.”

“We have now been on 3 holidays with Black Prince Narrowboat Holidays and we have thoroughly enjoyed them all. The boats are always new and clean, we have found them to be comfortable and have had the opportunity to travel many miles of canals.
