About Billingham:

Billingham are a family owned company, manufacturing camera bags for the world’s photographers since 1973 alongside a range of leisure and laptop bags. All bags are made in the West Midlands area of England, a region famous for manufacturing. A core reason for Billingham’s longevity is the fact that from the start, the Billingham family were determined that their products would always be made to the very highest standards from the best available materials to provide high levels of protection for their valued contents.

A notable feature of Billingham camera bags is that they are made from a distincive 3-layer waterpoof canvas that never needs reproofing. They also feature genuine top grain leather and solid brass details.

Like any premium product, the quality of materials, design and craftsmanship that goes into creating a Billingham means that it represents a significant investment. “Great bags I have a few. World leading quality. This one is a good balance on size and I'm using it like a daily messenger bag. Also very fast international delivery. Cannot recommend these enough.”

“Over the years I have acquired several Billingham bags, some new, some used. I am delighted with them all and with the accessories (eg clip-on pouches, straps, shoulder pads). For air travel, I favour the Hadley range and normally take the Hadley Large and the Hadley Large Pro. The lighter weight, thinner and taller form factor suit the gear I use. Recently I bought a 307 in superb condition, with the exception of the head of one snap closure button, which had snapped off. Billingham very kindly replaced the broken part free of charge - I only had to pay for the postage. The quality of the bags is amazing. My Hadley Large has been all over the world - safaris, jungles, swamps, mountains and deserts - and, while I do tend to look after my kit carefully, the Hadley Large looks almost as good as new and it has protected my expensive lenses and bodies throughout.”

“Got the Hadley Pro 2020 bag for my youngest daughter who is just getting into photography. She chose the bag and colour. Very pleased with it, and although smaller than my selection, fits her Nikon D3300 nicely. Also had a shoulder pad and tally to match. Great delivery service. Thanks Billingham.”

“Today I received my 6th Billingham bag in 25 years, a beautiful Hadley Small Pro to carry a Leica M, four lenses and accessories. I have previously got an Alice, Aveo pouches, a Hadley Pro, a Pola Airline and finally this beauty. It's a pleasure seeing the small improvements to the designs (i.e. the new Hadleys sport removable shoulder straps) while maintaining the legendary quality. Even non photographers look at them as something special; made for conossieurs. Once in a hotel elevator a person couldn't resist asking me where I had purchased it and when I mentioned a famous photography store, the guy said: "I'm not a photograher but I'd love one as a carry on bag for travel"; I then showed him the removable insert of my original Hadley Pro and the man said, "I'm definitely getting one, what did you say the name of the store was?". Sadly B&H no longer carries Billingham; gladly, my new bag cost me here the same it would have cost me on their online store, or slightly less, thanks to the better carrier fares. Nevertheless, I shall remain a fan of the brand as the quality, service, design and value is par none. My next order --that I regret not having thought of at the time of my last- will be a couple of large Aveos for lenses and a couple of new straps for my almost 20 year old Hadley Pro.”

“The quality of construction and attention to detail is without equal. The design is timeless and very adaptable to the evolving options in gear. I've owned many Billingham camera bags and still have the originals from the early 1970s. The removable inserts are an indispensable part of the system for me and add to the flexibility when preparing for a shoot. I can never say enough about the company, they're the best!”

“Buying this Weekender Duffel Bag was probably my most satisfying purchase of travel/camera bags ever. The bag is wonderfully simple; who wants complications when rushing to get away on time. One might say the bag is expensive; perhaps it is. But, then, one might compare its price with those finished leather bags; you know the ones, the ones that make one think that the owner is more interested in showing his wealth than stuffing his underwear. Of course, there is appearance. I want my duffel bag to have that finished air, with the clean lines of planned simplicity and the hint of a retro flair, kind of like 1942 or, perhaps, earlier. Yes, there is the comparison of canvas with leather fittings versus just leather. I prefer the canvas.”
