About Billingham:

Billingham are a family owned company, manufacturing camera bags for the world’s photographers since 1973 alongside a range of leisure and laptop bags. All bags are made in the West Midlands area of England, a region famous for manufacturing. A core reason for Billingham’s longevity is the fact that from the start, the Billingham family were determined that their products would always be made to the very highest standards from the best available materials to provide high levels of protection for their valued contents.

A notable feature of Billingham camera bags is that they are made from a distincive 3-layer waterpoof canvas that never needs reproofing. They also feature genuine top grain leather and solid brass details.

“I am delighted with my new airline Billingham bag, it’s first trip overseas is going to be Vietnam and then Australia. I have several other Billingham bags, my first being a 445 which I got in 1984 / 85 , in Nytex I think that’s what the material was called, it’s still going strong, in fact it looks better now after nearly 40 years of service. 👍”

“Tengo varias Billingham y estoy encantado. La última que compré es negra con la piel chocolate, me encanta. Suelo llevar una Fujifilm XT5 con varios objetivos (10-24mm 16-55mm 56mm y un 55-200mm) Este último a veces lo sustituyo por un flash Profoto. También a veces llevo un iPad. Billingham Nunca me ha fallado. Ni con sol ni con lluvia”

“I had a fault on a nearly new bag, and I had to prove my purchase and find receipt. The retailer helped me locate receipt from their records, they had terrific customer serrvice, just like Billingham used to have. The bags are good, but the customer service isn't what it used to be. I like their stuff, but my loyal custom doesn't mean a thing now like most companies, which is so dissapointing.I bought a new insert for an old Packington bag which is the review invitation I think, which I think is great. I got the Packington for less than 25 percent of an an Eventer second hand from a camera shop in terrific condition, and think it's a better bag personally _ I hope they remember how they got so well known, and go back to not assuming everyone is some kind of shifty character trying to pull a fast one _ I have sold hundreds of their products when working in retail, so it was a doubly hurtful attitude to me. Mostly I buy new bags, but I think the heyday of quality may be in the rear view mirror now _ I hope they pull their socks up !”

Hi Jon, Thank you for your feedback. I'm glad to hear that the replacement Packington insert is great and that you got a good deal on the bag. I'm sorry to hear though that you were unhappy with our customer service during your repair. Unfortunately, when you haven't bought from us directly we do need to ask for proof of purchase - and I think you'll find this to be true across almost all manufacturers. When a customer doesn't have this we'll always work with the customer to find an alternative proof of ownership or purchase date, but we'd always ask for proof of purchase in this first instance (which we always recommend that customers keep in case it is needed). “this is my 2nd polar bag. you were the only retaile who had the bag in sage with chocolate leather. same excellent quality as my older bag. ordered the bag on sunday arrived on tuesday.”

“Mel recommended I bought this as the cheapest way to get 2 hinged dividers for my 35 rucksack so that I could have a padded compartment at the bottom of each "pocket". They work perfectly.”

“Obviously a fantastic quality bag, as expected, and I’m looking forward to using it daily for the years ahead. Practical size, and fits my 13” laptop too.
