Hi, Still enjoying the bibo but this has started leaking as need the hot water filter. This will now be the second purchased as the Allen key adapter in the last cartridge was faulty and broke on first use. Have ordered one but being told need to wait until March despite unit leaking.

I have been using Bibo classic machine for around 8-10 years and it is fantastic, ice cold filtered water on tap and near boiling hot water too. You become dependant on it very quickly and it impresses all visitors to the house. Great for hot drinks and cooking and we don't even have a kettle. I have bought them outright but you do have some annual cost for replacement filters, uv light and hot tank cleaning. Looking at the rental price and having had an occasional maintenance problem (and cost) renting might be the better deal for most people.

I bought a Bibo classic when they were first released and 18 months ago bought a new one to replace it after 6 or 7 years. When the company started up the customer service was excellent and I recommended Bibo to countless friends and relatives. Now, I feel somewhat differently due to a deterioration in the quality of the product and the standard of customer service. My second Bibo classic has had a number of problems, most recently a leaking cold water tank. As it was over 12 months old I had to pay almost 80 UKP for an engineer to call, had to take the machine for a repair which will cost me more money and estimated 2-3 days to return my machine (no replacement left). Now almost 2 weeks without machine and not heard anything. The telephone call to request a repair was pleasant enough but as I was having to pay a significant cost for the engineer visit and more for the repair so it should be. No longer a big fan of Bibo and now looking at alternatives.

Had the BIBO for 3 days , water tastes like plastic or chemical . Called support and have been advised to flush through over 2 litres per day for 1 week. Not the best start

Not received yet. Stated next day delivery when I ordered but was emailed the next day to say it was out of stock and a couple of weeks delay.

Had Bibo now for over 6 years has worked very well. Just changing the uv light again after ordering it which came very quickly. The old light was black at the bottom and obviously 'gone' We had a. Message saying uv light malfunction, changed it for the new light and same message is still there. Have inserted twice to BiBo's recommended fitting instruction, still same message. Have unplugged from mains waited 5 minutes still same message when plugged in. Hot water works fine but we have no cold water. At all, here hoping BeBo can rectify quickly as spare and replacements are expensive especially when they don't rectify the problem. Have looked on the web site and no further instructions on how to get it fixed. Phone call coming up on Monday morning hoping to get it sorted and give them 5 stars. Andy L

The machine works well but the cost of filters is too high and in our hard water area, it needs descaling far too often; flooding the worktop as it gets to that point.

It is good to have chilled water all day long. I am not happy with the cleaning filter as the part that needs to be undone is made of flimsy plastic & does not last very long.

Had a few issues with my bibo. Leaking from inside which was a faulty solenoid. Easy to repair though. It needs descaling every 4 months also.

Great hot & cold water "on tap", but severely let down by the need to descale 3 times a year. The descaling process is a total pain.

Machine is very good but the problems come when it's time to change the filter When I changed mine last time there was a drip underneath which I advised to Bibo They supplied another filter and the same problem They advised that would need to send an engineer as the problem was probably with the boiler and the cost would be £100 plus I did not accept this I looked at the fit of the filter compared with the old filter and asked if the tolerance of the O ring seating had been changed because the dimension on the outside of the ring was smaller on the new filter Bibo did not respond and I heard nothing else from Bibo and I still had the drip I applied some silicone to the o ring and refitted the filter which did in fact stop the drip I am sure the same problem will occur if the quality control on the filters has not been improved Shame really Regards Colin Badger

The unit is good for measured delivery of hot and cold water. Its less good for using for filling pans for cooking, the boiler runs out of hot water quite quickly and then takes a while to reheat. The touch panel has an annoying habit of not responding to any request and it will do this frequently. It also has a limited range of control for timing the water to switch on and off. The noise produced from the cooling function can be intrusive. The on tap availability of a measured supply of hot water for a single cup of tea or coffee is the only thing that is keeping it on the counter. Overall, just ok.

Thanks for your feedback Michael and it's great to hear you enjoy the convenience of having your BIBO! The hot tank inside your BIBO is 1 1/2 litres so once you dispense this amount, the machine will need some time to heat back up. The noise of the machine is often equated to your fridge and should not be intrusive at all. I will get in touch with you regarding this and your screen as this should be very responsive every time you come to use it. You have an extended warranty with us so a visit out to have a look at this would be FOC for you!

I love Bibo because it makes my water drinkable in a very hard water area, My coffee and tea no longer have a metallic taste, and the cold water is perfect. What I did not take into my calculations was the Classic filter kit and the two cleansing kits I have to purchase every year, costing £139. 00. On a pension I find this a problem. Also, when changing the filter or cleaning the tank I am unable to remove the old filter without the aid of pliers, and even then it is a struggle. So all in all I probably would not buy another one. However, I have always found the staff who deal with after sales extremely efficient and friendly when they deal with my queries.

Thanks for your feedback, Janet and I am so glad to hear you love your BIBO. We try to keep the costs down as much as possible and the filters on our filter pack delivery service work out at just 20p a day. We have made our cleaning kit partly reusable so it is only the refill solutions you need to continue to purchase. We provide a filter handle with every filter pack to help you get the filters out of the machine so I will pop one in the post for you today! Best regards.

Filters very expensive better with a kettle I was £99 for filters and only does for one year so I think I will be going back to a kettle
