“Had my BIBO for quite a while now. It's so convenient and filters all my water (this is why I purchased it as South staffs water is very hard) I signed up for the filter deal and they are so easy to replace. If i had one negative comment it would be that they could have placed a stop switch on the top of the unit (perhaps a full width bar just above the main panel) as sometimes I miss pressing to switch the unit flow off, good job it's got a drip tray.”

“The BIBO is great. My only 'complaint' is the high cost of some of the maintenance products ... £17 for a small bottle of descaling fluid for a single use is outrageous!”

Hi Mark, great to hear you love your BIBO. The BIBO de-scale solution is formulated & packed specifically for use in the BIBO Classic & Bar hot tanks, it's based on a proven de-scaler liquid made by a high quality producer in the USA and was chosen after extensive testing. The packaging & postage alone accounts for nearly £8.00 of the total cost. As the amount of solution we sell is growing we are working with our supplier to reduce the cost and of course any savings will be passed on to our customers.

“An excellent addition to our kitchen. It saves having to use a kettle which can be heavy to use, and it ideal to have a constant source of hot water, The cold water is of very good quality. The service provided by the company is very good and they are very helpful. Delivery of a recent order for cleaning fluid was very quick indeed.”

“I love the product and the lovely filtered water it produces. The only problem I've had is when I tried to buy replacement filters, I tried a couple of times to subscribe yearly and have them delivered automatically but it didn't work for some reason! Do I've had to just buy them when I need them.”

“Machine is very good but the problems come when it's time to change the filter When I changed mine last time there was a drip underneath which I advised to Bibo They supplied another filter and the same problem They advised that would need to send an engineer as the problem was probably with the boiler and the cost would be £100 plus I did not accept this I looked at the fit of the filter compared with the old filter and asked if the tolerance of the O ring seating had been changed because the dimension on the outside of the ring was smaller on the new filter Bibo did not respond and I heard nothing else from Bibo and I still had the drip I applied some silicone to the o ring and refitted the filter which did in fact stop the drip I am sure the same problem will occur if the quality control on the filters has not been improved Shame really Regards Colin Badger”

“i was very pleased with my BIBO at first but have been a bit less pleased as time4 as gone by i.e the price offilters is rather high for pensioners and since receiving a kit to stop a water leak (which by the way i found rather complicated and am having to wait for my son to sort out for me) i have found it impossible to move the machine as it seems to be bolted or fixed in some way. Unfortunately it seems i am going to be forced to part with my BIBO SINCERLY J,J,Newman”

Hi Mr Newman, thanks for your feedback. It's good to hear you have been pleased with your BIBO! I am sorry you have found the cleaning process complicated, we do have full instructions with the kit and you can give us a call if you or your son have any problems. The machine isn't bolted or fixed to the work top but will be heavy as the tanks will be full of water. If you need any help or advice with this then please do get in touch!

“The Bibo machine itself is brilliant, one of the best purchases we have ever made and we couldn't now be without it. However the cost of the cleaning solutions is ridiculous. You get one small bottle of solution and a pack of litmus paper strips for £20. A comparable descaling solution is only a few pounds in most supermarkets so why is this one so expensive? After a bit of research I discovered the solution is Sulphamic Acid and this can be bought in powder form on the internet and mixed with water at home. A 5kg tub will make up 50 litres of solution and costs £24.59. Compare that to the Bibo solution at £19.99 for 200ml!! That's 250 bottles against 1 for only £5 more. I know I am being pedantic and most people wouldn't bother with making it themselves but the above does show the price is way over the top.”

The BIBO de-scale solution is formulated & packed specifically for use in the BIBO Classic & Bar hot tanks, it's based on a proven de-scaler liquid made by a high quality producer in the USA and was chosen after extensive testing. It’s a Citric and Sulphamic acid blend, nothing similar that can be bought locally or replicated by buying a sulphamic crystal or powder and mixing it at home. The packaging & postage alone accounts for nearly £8.00 of the total cost. As the amount of solution we sell is growing we are working with our supplier to reduce the cost and of course any savings will be passed on to our customers.

“Buying a BIBO was one of my better decisions, have had ours for two years now with no problems. No messing about filling kettles and waiting for them to boil, no filling water bottles and changing filters and finding room in the fridge. This is one family that would not be without their BIBO.”
