“The string was significantly cheaper than as advertised on other web-sites. It has been performing well even though it has been installed for only a few days. I'm impressed by its willingness to 'speak'. Other strings I've tried have required rather more effort from the bow. Pizzicato is fine but perhaps lacks 'punch' - only to be expected from an orchestral string I guess. The overall sound is softer and less penetrating than most of the other strings I've had experience with but blends nicely in the orchestral context. It seems to be bringing out the best from the lowest spectrum of my instrument. If this string is typical of the Evah Perazzi range I would be interested in obtaining a full set over time. This is my first purchase from 'Bass Bags'. The order was fulfilled as per their promise.”

“Only website I could find in UK selling this item (made in US) which is great. Super quick delivery, but then I live in the same city as the company so that probably helped. Item had slightly mouldy paper inside and a very small amount of rust on the product itself but this is only aesthetic, the product works absolutely fine and I am enjoying it greatly. Thanks Bass Bags :-)”

Hi Stephen, Thank you for your kind review. I'm sorry to hear about the condition of the Realist Lifeline box contents. I've just checked our stock of Realist Lifelines, and I think the mould effect on the paper is a printer error as the black dots are spaced quite uniformly towards the bottom of the page and are identically placed on each page contained in every box. These sheets come with the products from David Gage in New York, I will print some here from a pdf and replace each one. There is some discolouration on some of the steel screw heads this is because they are made of steel, and it happens when they are exposed to air. I will contact David Gage and request that they start using different screws if possible. I notice that you're in Derby and as we're only just up the road, I'll happily pop round with a replacement if you'd like. We've been using the Realist products for a long time now (years), and this is the first instance of this that I'm aware of. All the best, David Morgan.?

“I've just bought a rather splendid (and expensive!) double bass bow. The seller recommended Pops rosin and in fact some colleagues were waxing lyrical about this rosin just a couple of months ago. So I've abandoned my usual rosin and am trying Pops. It comes with dire warnings about being very soft, to keep the pot upright and not to leave it in the sun. Well, it's certainly sticky and seems to be pushing the sound out excellently. I'm very happy with it so far. Service from Bass Bags was splendid. I did an internet search of several sellers and Bass Bags came out the cheapest. I've already recommended them to a student who has lost her pot of Pops! Delivery was very quick - it came in 2 days. Can't fault that! A D M”

“AMAZING customer service over the phone just before Christmas!It was so good I felt I had contacted Santa's elf workshop! The bass bag arrived the NEXT DAY as promised and is BEAUTIFUL! A Christmas gift for my 16 year old for his double bass, and he LOVES it! Superb quality, just beautiful. Our overall experience was so positive- I would like to become a repeat customer!”
