“I use Basco fairly regularly as I love cooking and Spanish food is one of my favourites. Basco manage to source some of the harder to get foods as well as all the standards, and everything I have had is of an excellent quality. The fresh meat and the preserved meats are particularly good. I am waiting to have an excuse of many visitors to order a suckling pig.”

“Every time I have ordered from basco over the years I have had absolutely first class service and first class meat. Unfortunately on this occasion my delivery arrived defrosted. Basco have however, offered to either replace or refund so although my delivery was a disappointment the customer service has been good.”

“I have generally been happy, but the last two deliveries have brought disappointment. Last week I contacted you to tell you that my croquetas had arrived defrosted, and you kindly sent replacements. However, these arrived as promised but in an enormous box - far too big for the contents - and these two weren't fully frozen. The box is just too big, which I think is part of the problem. Don't you have smaller ones for smaller orders? I then have to dispose of two enormous boxes and the 8 or 10 ice packs that came with them, which is inconvenient. The previous time, an item was missing, and this was sent out separately in an enormous box. It is such a waste!!”

“I just cooked a paella for around 30 people and I am so glad I got the ingredients from here. The stock in particular definitely made a big difference. Treat yourself to the anchovies as well - absolutely delicious.”

“I don’t usually write reviews Simple because reviews are subjective however I would not be true to my self if I did not write a review, this is my second time buying the Most delicious pork ribs ever , melt I the mouth ! Perfect ! Succulent, Delicious the Wow factor.! 10 out of 10 I increased my order it’s so special I choose the time when to cook it. Basco Fine foods , is simple the best , very annoyed I coujd not get the dried salted cod fish . But you are forgiven because of the best Pork ribs I have ever tasted . Thanks for Rosa Blanca I have not tried but yet .”

“I’ve ordered from Basco several times & been pleased with the quality of the goods but their customer service is poor. If something goes wrong, they are not prepared to properly resolve. My last order had 2 expensive joints of beef that were materially underweight. The order also went to the wrong address which we had to track down & spent 2 hours driving to retrieve. The address details were pre populated by their system and were correct in terms of the street address & village name. What I didn’t spot is that the postcode was wrong but as there is only one village in the UK with this name, I had no reason to check the postcode. Apparently it’s my fault as they are not liable for their system error as per their T&Cs! Mistakes happen but it’s how they are resolved that counts. Will not use them again.”

We appreciate you taking the time to leave this review. We do on every occasion try to find the most appropriate resolution to any issue. In regards to delivery addresses, Basco do not retain or input any part of a delivery address for any orders placed online. We are of course sympathetic to errors made with delivery address at check out and we do try and limit these errors by sending an order confirmation and an email notification of dispatch. We will always do what we can to help resolve situations such as this, however once an order has left our warehouse we are extremely limited to what we can action.
