“You did not make me happy. Had to pay two lots of postage £2.99 x 2. Inadvertently ordered the wrong size goods, my fault but very costly postage.”

“Contacted retailer as order had not arrived. Informed carrier had not processed request. Urgent delivery authorised. Item arrived two days later. Good customer service when problem arose but better prevented in first place.”

“My teapot arrived chipped and was a present. This was very disappointing. However Barnitts' service thereafter was good. They arranged a replacement but the item was out of stock for 3 weeks. They then agreed a refund instead. Therefore my experience was good and bad.”

“The products was bought as a birthday present and so it was disappointing to find that you were out of stock AFTER I placed the order as it meant that the present arrived a week. late. It would be helpful if you could identify if you were out of stock on the web page before an order is placed .”

“The colour of item was grey instead of white what was very upsetting. Postage of returning such a heavy and big object had significant cost and agrivation. On the plus side it arrived extremely well packed.”

“Good selection of products at very competitive prices. Easy to use website, but I had to wait over a month for delivery of my order because two items were out of stock. I wasn't advised of this until after I'd ordered them. For that reason I have only awarded 3 stars (normal) - I don't consider waiting so long for delivery to be 'normal' but because the products themselves were excellent 2 stars (poor) would have been rather unfair. But I think Barnitts should revise their ordering and delivery processes.”

“The service from Barnitts itself was fine but the product was not as described. The string to hold the ironing board cover in place was not strong enough for the job, so I had to sew some loops on it and tie it one with string myself. However I've not yet found an ironing board cover that had a decent method of fixing it to the board, so I was not surprised and was resigned to doing a bit of sewing to fix it.”
