“Barnitts website made no mention whatsoever of even the possibility of needing felt padding under the new ironing board cover and when one tries to search for it "felt padding for ironing boards" produces a "no products found" response. The old Brabantia ironing board covers came with a thin layer of foam inside but not these newest ones - just thin cotton cloth. When I queried this situation I received the most unhelpful response from "Barnitts" (no name was forthcoming on either of the two emails) and frankly if this is the "normal" customer response then we will not be bothering Barnitts in future. If Paul Thompson would like us to forward the emails in question then we are happy to do so - maybe he can take some action to ensure that such responses to customer queries are more in keeping with how he (and any self-respecting MD) would want Barnitts to be portrayed let alone the umteenth generation of the "barnitts Family"”

Dear Mr Jones We are very sorry to hear that you are unhappy with your replacement Ironing Board Cover. These products do not come with felt padding included as this is not always needed when replacing the fabric cover. If you need felt padding you would need to order it separately. We are dedicated to providing quality customer service and this is something we will be looking into.

“Good old fashioned, dimpled lid, roasting dish....just like my mother had! Been trying to get one of these for ages. Wonderful product and it cooked/browned my chicken to perfection! Easy to clean afterwards and no need to clean the oven. Would recommend this roasting dish to anyone and it was a sensible price too! Thanks, Barnitts!”
