Tables are of ok quality but a little disappointing after a nearly 4 month wait Not kept up to date with details just silence with me having to keep calling to find out the status

The staff are very attentive, personable and knowledgeable….. except that when buying a bed recently I was not told it was to be self assembled. This lead to the next issue of paying your delivery men to assemble it which then revealed that the wrong bed had been delivered. Your policy in this regard forbids and blocks communication to the store. Because if this ridiculous policy I had to drive to the store to resolve the problem with in-house staff. Last month I bought a bed for another property In Gloucestershire. I paid for it, it was delivered at the time stated at purchase, the old bed was removed by the drivers and the new bed was carried upstairs and installed. This was good service and salesmanship…and at NO extra cost. For sure, I will not recommend your Company for beds. A stupid experience. Your Battersea manager David, it must be said, was a brilliant pacifier, rectifier and ambassador for your company.

I noticed after delivery, one of my swivel dining chair legs was not screwed on correctly, a screw was at a slant but not attached to anything. I called to ask if i could use the care plan for someone to come out to repair the chair and sent pictures by email. I was told it was a small job and i should dismantle the chair legs and swivel attachment to release the slanted screw and screw them in the correct way. I did not have the right tools for this had to go out and buy them to do my own repairs. I must of been misled when i was sold this care plan. What does the care plan cover me for then?

Happy with the look and the feel of the product however, not all of the cushions fit into the storage section. This was one of the main reasons we purchased the product as we have limited storage, but we can only fit in the bottom (sit on) cushions and the back cushions are having to be stored elsewhere. A bit frustrating.

Happy to sell to you but sadly post-sale the experience was not so pleasant; Refused a refund despite being told at point-of-sale that it was possible, then accepted with 25% restocking fee, at which point communication abruptly stopped. I won’t be using again in a hurry!

I held back doing a review as I did not have a total good experience. I ordered two matching chairs. On arrival they did not match. Wood colour different. One was collected and eventually replaced but this did not match. The manager explained they had loads and could send me 12.,that may not matched,and refunded me for one chair which left me with one not matched chair. I feel you should have the wood marked chair on display in your store, not the nice one I thought I had originally bought I have now been left with a problem of finding the second chair for my conservatory. Not good.

Bargain price for wardrobes in clearance sale. Duly delivered and assembled but unfortunately not a good fit for our alcove - I measured internal dimensions not realising there was a void at one end. Our local joiner managed to adapt them to fit. The grumble is that a rail was missing and none can be found so a replacement has been requested from the German manufacturer. This may hopefully be sometime in the next month, very apologetic certainly but meanwhile clothing is lying on spare beds waiting for hangers which has been a nuisance when visitors needed those beds. So very pleased they were a bargain.

Reported a fault on chair received a message back saying this is how it should be , I love my suite but even friends have made comments , this is the most I’ve paid and I’m 66 years old , still waiting for outcome .

Nice products if you're prepared to wait (12-14 weeks lead time was advised for a dining chair; it eventually arrived a few days after that period).

Good service when ordering furniture over the phone. I found it difficult to arrange a suitable time and date for delivery . Unfortunately the cupboard doors no longer close so I assume the wood has not been treated properly prior to construction of the cupboard.

Sales team were good and helpful. Delivery was fine. After care was poor. The bed was missing screws and instructions. Took forever to resolve. I had to do all the chasing.

Overall i was very satisfied with the service provided just disapointed that the piece of furniture i purchased was from a discontinued range therefore i was unable to match any more furniture from that range, If i had been advised at the time i would have chosen a different range,

A bit disappointed that table is not quite as advertised. Even allowing for colour variations when looking at a product online, the wood is a lot darker than anticipated. It is called saddle Tan but there is nothing tan about it. It’s really dark almost black in places. Only the hassle of a return, possible costs attached and the fact that we needed a table prevented us from returning it. That said it is a lovely piece of wood or pieces.. and quite good value for the money. Good size for our kitchen diner and it has grown on us, but do be aware of the colour!

I've ordered from Barker and Stonehouse before and never had a problem with delivery, tho these were large items. Ordered a bowl but it never turned up, despite numerous messages from DPD saying it was coming, customer service from B&S were very good and I got a refund in the end. When I ordered I saw that it was coming from DPD and knew it would never arrive, a terrible company! Will definitely order larger items rather than small from Barker and Stonehouse in future.

Quality of the sofa I ordered is fantastic, the most comfy thing I’ve sat on! Only thing that lets Barker & Stonehouse down was wait times…. Originally quoted 9 week wait time, then they called again to add another 5 week delay… Then they called again to say sofa was ready but they couldn’t deliver for another 2 weeks, with only one day available or another 2 week wait. I ended up hiring a man with a van to pick it up myself…. So if you can wait, totally worth it! Otherwise double the time they say!
