“We ordered 2 counter chairs that arrived well packed and arrived within the quoted time. One of the chairs had a minor fault on the foot of one of the legs. B&S replaced the chair promptly with no quibble - excellent service.”

“Excellent service from start to finish . Furniture delivered with in 11 days of the order being placed . Had to change the delivery date and was able to bring the date forward . Call from the delivery team to say they would 30 mins . Great service from Phil and Craig B”

“We had a delay in delivery but was kept informed all the way. Even returned delivery cost as an apology. The Desk i purchased was of recycled wood it was amazing value. The desk was well made and well finished.”

“Found a lampshade online that was stocked with several different online stores but found it on Barker and Stonehouse for half the price !! Great quality. Item was out of stock but website showed when available and when that date came round it was delivered out to me. Honesty on out of stock items is always important.Shame all websites werent the same ! Anyway, thrilled with the lampshade that looks amazing lit and unlit !”

“I ordered a wall clock 29th December 2020, on the website it stated delivery would be 26th February, I thought ok then as I had searched for ages looking for a clock I really liked , I received an email in February to advise the item was delayed and the expected date would be 26th March 2021, after back n forth with customer services they offered me free delivery (£4,95) as a good will gesture, which I accepted, today I rang up as I hadn't heard anything and today I was expecting the clock to be delivered only to be told it has been delayed yet again and the delivery date is now 26th May, they have said I could have 40.00 refund if i wanted to wait until May which i have accepted, let's see what happens when May arrives, absolutely disgusting to expect a customer to wait 5 months for an item, shouldn't advertise if you cant deliver the goods.”

“I would give 0 stars if I could. In November I paid £237.30 deposit for an order. By the end of March the only part of the order to be delivered was a £62 rug. When I tried to get the remainder of my deposit back for the I delivered goods I was told I had to pay another £62 before I could get a refund of my original £237.30 deposit. Absolutely disgraceful customer service. I have been a customer of barker and Stonehouse before, but never again.”

“Unfortunately I could not put less than one star. But they certainly do not deserve even one star. We ordered a range of bedroom furniture at the end of September, online, after first visiting The Nottingham store to view, as following a phone call to the company we were told it was on display there. Actually there was only one item to view, a chest of drawers. We were told by the assistant we could order the full range online, and it would be delivered in 8 weeks We ordered 6 items, 4 of which said delivery in 4,5 and 6 weeks, the other two items stated 8 weeks. We paid in full. 10 weeks passed and no word from the store. We gave them the benefit of the doubt and waited a further 2 weeks, after which we phoned to check where our order was. We were told it had arrived in the warehouse, and was waiting for a delivery date to be set. They told us they would ring the following week to arrange delivery. No call came, so we phoned them. Only to be told that our furniture was not available, as it was still in transit and would be another 2 months. We had already waited 3 months for delivery. We questioned why we had been told the furniture was ready for delivery a week earlier, to which they said one item had arrived. But the rest would be March , (5 months after our order went in) we asked for a promise or we would have to cancel the whole order. We were then told that a supervisor would see what she could do in order to speed up the process, Only to get a phone call 2 days later stating that the furniture in the shipment had been sold to another supplier. So 5 months after ordering our new bedroom furniture, paying in full we were told it was no longer available and we would be receiving nothing. This company didn't even apologise, just said there was nothing they could do. They then informed us that our refund could take up to 14 days for us to receive. This was our first experience of dealing with Barker & Stonehouse, it will be our last.”

“Great service from Denzil & Steve Y of Crawley. They rang ahead to give 45 mins notice of when they’d arrive. Some parts wouldn’t fit in our lift and without a grumble they carried it up three flights. A seamless delivery. Thanks guys”
