“We had 3 lamps delivered all damaged so we had to wait in for 5 separate occasions. For delivery and collections. We asked for full refund after being messed about for over 4 weeks. Then it took us 15 days to get are money refunded. No one even contacted us to apologise even though we logged a complaint.”

“Very happy with our new table. The delivery drivers were very helpful in that they assembled the table for us in situ. My only complaint is that the additional leaf provided that goes with the table is not a good match. :(”

“Had to wait for 3 weeks for the delivery after confirmation of the overdue arrival of furnitures. Unfortunately they couldn't fit in two lots of orders together as promised and had to be delivered on two different dates. At least, they informed you the day before the delivery with a two hours time slot and they arrived on time. Good service. The only comment I have is that on the second delivery, they didn't wrap the furniture with any protection. I presumed they unpacked downstairs and brought up the furniture which I thought was not very good because the furniture would have got dirty or damaged in the lift or through hallway doors. The delivery staff should have worn gloves when they carried the unwrapped furniture upstairs .”

“I really like the choice they have, and we are really happy with the table and chairs we bought. Unfortunately the table couldn't be delivered because it was broken - so we had to wait 5 months for a replacement. The furniture was for a second home, so getting delivery dates was quite difficult. However, when the table eventually came the people (who work for B&S - not the delivery company they usually use,) were excellent.”

“It was such a huge decision choosing a sofa for our sitting room. Lots of factors to take into consideration for example large enough for a family and pooch. Durable. Heard Wearing frame springs etc. Manufactured in GB. Quality of material. The perfect Colour ( and i am very fussy). We have the power nowadays of social Media and trust pilot for reviews and customer experiences which is fantastic to refer too. I did lots of homework and decided on the Barker & Stonehouse Harrington feather filled in a colour i chose not from the Harrington range. Customer Service were lovely nothing was an issue when i came into store to order armed with my own cushions/paint & material samples to match up with. Sofa was ordered. We were constantly kept in touch with until the sofa was delivered ( by 2 lovely helpful chaps called Wojciech & Cristian who went above and beyond) The sofa itself is incredible. The colour and the heavy duty feel of the velvet is fantastic. We sink into our giant sofa and can feel the quality. It does require daily plumping but thats the way i like it made with lovely lush feather inserts to sink into . I dont have a negative to list. We are over the moon from start to finish .”

“Bought two bar stools and a chair. The chair was too small and we returned. The stools are perfect thanks. Good quality and fair price. Lots of lovely furniture in their store and helpful staff.”

“Waited 6 month for a couch which turned out to be the complete wrong couch. In this time I didn’t receive one phone call to get an update, which turned out they had the incorrect phone number for myself. It was good of barker and stone house to resolve the situation and allowed me to order the correct couch free of charge but once again didn’t receive any update and constant mistakes were made through the whole process. Quality of couches are poor also.”

“Excellent service in store and when our new bed was delivered. Jon & Kyle (the delivery drivers) from the Middlesbrough depot went over and above what was needed. Absolutely brilliant customer service from them both and all with a smile too.”

“Asked to be notified of delivery, but I had to call after 10 days from order date. Asked DPD to leave delivery in my absence. They didn’t & order was returned to B&S. I know this because I had to ring again today.”
